      If I could leave a no star rating I would. Placed order ($100+) in early March for pick up in early May 2023. A week before our order was to be filled Chase Hatchery canceled our order. Chase Hatchery apologized via email and stated we would receive a 10 percent credit in addition to our purchase amount which we could use anytime. Received an email late May stating chicks were discounted '45% END OF SEASON' come get them before they are gone. Returned to Chase Hatchery to purchase discounted chicks. Went to their 'store' to buy chicks with my credit. Person working behind the counter asked for my canceled order number to access my credit. When I asked how much credit I had remaining, as I wished to buy feed, the gal stated I had no balance. I was charged full price. She was confused and kept asking me for my canceled order number. Because the gal was quite young (maybe 14 years old) I left, knowing I would make no progress with her and would contact the owner (probably a parent) to resolve. Tried to contact the owner via phone multiple times when I arrived home but they will not answer the phone. My phone calls only resulted in a text message stating "unfortunately we do not have a customer support team member available." To this day Chase Hatchery has not issued a credit and shows no regard to paying customers.Will not purchase from Chase Hatchery again. Will not recommend Chase Hatchery to neighbors, friends and family. Chase Hatchery cancels orders last minute, promises credit they do not honor, charges full price when chickens are discounted 45 percent, does not understand the purpose of customer service because they don't answer the phone or resolve customer concerns via texting like they advertise.

      Ordered some Easter ****** a month before hatch and this place told us they were unavailable the day before we were to go pick them up. Couldn't get a reason or reply why. Their communication is horrible. Will not be doing business ever again.

      Despite our best efforts, chicks do not always hatch out as expected. In an effort to take care of our local customers better, we will no longer be taking pre-orders for local pickup. This will greatly reduce the frustration of chicks not being available by their pickup date.
