      We were hit by Ian and put our entire house back together without insurance money. Select Portfolio Servicing has an inspection at 85% complete from months ago and will not release out $430,000 check that they have had for 3 weeks. They had another inspection done 2 weeks ago that will show house is 100% complete and they still will not release money. I am a Realtor and I would never recommend anyone use this company. They say they will call back and they don't. We have been through so much with the insurance company and the storm and now the bank has to put us through **** as well. Shame on them!

      Terrible company to deal with. They drag out issues to collect more interest and penalties. I have been dealing with them on an Estate. Sent them 4 copies of a death certificate and constantly was told that all 4 copies were not legible. Requested notes to be put on the account that the property was going to be sold and the closing date. 5 days after the closing, SPS paid the homeowners insurance and said it was my responsibility to fix this. If you can stay away from this incompetent company

      This is a horrible company to do business with them. They lie to you for no reason I have a claim that I requested around march and here we are May ******************************* the runaround had to spend my own money out of pocket to finish repairs. This company should be barred.

      This company runs an insurance/escrow scam. My home mortgage has been sold to different companies about 7-8 times in 20 years. I have not had a problem with any of them until SPS bought my mortgage. Even though I upload proof that I have house insurance they use different excuses as to why they signed me up to for their insurance company instead. I call and they say they can’t read my pdf document. Then they say they didn’t receive the documents. Then they say the paperwork is fine. Now they are saying they aren’t listed as the mortgage holder because it only shows Select Portfolio Servicing Inc on the paperwork instead of their full address. My insurance agent said this is a common scam in violation of the law.

      This company just raise my mortgage rate 60%. I have a fixed rate it should never go up by that amount. I have tried several times to get an explanation but they either give me a ridiculous answer or just mock me on the phone. I am filing several complaints with several different government agencies to try to get them to answer for what theyve done. If they were to give me a coherent answer that I can understand I would not complain, but they wont or cant.

      I agree with Marcus C., I received a check from my insurance co in February and SPS has been giving me the run around for 3 months now. I've been in business myself for over 40 years and I have never seen anyone conduct affairs like they do. I sent the check to them for endorsement and they said the property has to be inspected by them, when the insurance company has already done that and I sent a copy of that inspection to them. That delayed it 2 or more weeks, then they sent the check back to me saying I have to endorse it first. In all the years i've been in business, I've never known a financial institution to require the payee to endorse first, thereby making the check cash and payable to them when they receive it! The check is made out to me, not them. We argued about this for some time. I was told by one employee they would endorse if I sent it back, only to receive the check back without endorsement after another two weeks. After more conversation, not to mention the contractor is waiting this whole time to get paid, I reluctantly enddorsed the check and sent it back to them on 5/2/23 and they have been giving me the run around again, saying two days to pass clerical and they would return it. Five days later when I called they said two more days, and today 5/16/23 they are telling me five more days! This is rediculous. The $60,000 dollar repairs have added more than that to the equity of the property which is an advantage to the mortgage company. I belive SPS is run very poorly and whatever the BBB can do to resolve this situation would be much appreciated. Thank you, Mark S*********

      I closed my escrow with SPS in January, 2023, paying a $45.00 balance. Received a letter in April, 2023, stating I owed a balance of $374.01 on the escrow. They were going to increase my monthly payment by $10.00 to go toward the unpaid escrow balance. Called and they couldn't explain why I owed an additional $374.01. But, I mailed a check for this amount to again close out the escrow and noted on the check that it was for payment on the escrow balance only. They cashed it and applied it to the principle!!! I called and complained, they are supposed to put it toward the escrow, but they haven't taken out the May payment, due to this payment that they wrongly applied! Told the supervisor that I will be calling again in one week to make sure that it has been applied to the final escrow and the escrow is closed. Then, I will insist on making a May payment as they have the next payment due in June. I don't want to miss a payment and be fined due to their negligence and incompetence!!!! Horrible company! I have had numerous problems with them! Considering asking for a loan from my credit union and paying this mortgage off and get rid of this company!!!

      I wished there was a ( 0) star , I would give this company few of those.The worth costumer service and organization all together. stay away from this people .Some other loan company sold our loan to SPS company and from the 1st day the problems started.we paid some of the loan principal right after few month and it was not credited . we had to call several time to get that done. we paid anther principal and they keep taking interest but did not given credit again.there is something wrong with this company the way the run their loans??we have had several loans the last PAST 35 years we have never seen anything like this.WE PAID THE LOAN AND IT SHOULD SHOW THAT PART OF THE LOAN WAS PAID.IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THE COPANY CARES , THERE ARE A LOT OF ONE ATAR EWVIEW IN THEIR RECORD. we need find out how to put a real complain on this

      Worst company to use. STAY AWAY!!! This is not a service based business. Its unethical and unorganized and good luck getting someone on the phone that cares. Everyone Ive spoken with is very unprofessional. Theres nothing worse than a customer service representative who hates their job!!!I am absolutely disgusted by this company.

      Worst. Bunch of criminals. **** of America sold my loan to them and In less than a year, they jacked my monthly mortgage up $70. No notice in the mail. But even that still doesn't explain how a mortgage payment that for 16 years never varied more than +/- $20 all of the sudden increases by $70. Taxes didn't go up that much in our working class neighborhood. It should be illegal for them to buy anybody's mortgage. Bunch of crooks which accounts for their having such low approval ratings across the internet.
