    We have used Amen tree service for a number of years, and have been happy with their work and pricing. We asked for a bid to trim the dead from several of our willows this year. The man came to the yard and looked at all the requirements we had, and he even took pictures. He said it would be $500 to $600 dollars. When he sent the written estimate later that day, it was $700. My husband called and asked him about the discrepancy, but was told it was a fair bid; and we decided to go ahead. When the tree trimmers came out to do the work, they said the bid was way off and it would be $2500. My husband showed the main person the bid, was told it was incorrect, and when my husband asked if he would at least do $700 worth of trimming, he did nothing and drove away. He said he would submit another bid, but we never received anything. It was a very disappointing experience, and we are now looking for another company. Over the years, we had even recommended Amen to several of our neighbors. It seems they either changed their practices or got a new owner. It felt like a bait and switch.
