  I originally scheduled an appointment for July 14 with the Deactur location as the one closest to my house (Lithonia) doesnt have any driving instructors. A few days after i scheduled my appointment, i was told that it was cancelled because i live too far away.. i rescheduled anyway and was told that i could meet them at the office instead. Fast forward to the day of my appointment, August 1 which by the was the next closest appointment (Schedueling is a major issue with this business). I arrive 10 minutes before my appointment. At 10:30 the driving instructor, *******, calls me to say hes running late somewhat confused, i stayed around waiting for him in this sketchy parking lot anyway, because i paid NOT ONLY a deposit, but money on transportation to get there in the first place. The office was closed even though this was during business hours, the doors were locked so i had no choice but to wait outside. Theres lots of homeless people on this stretch of memorial drive as its on the same road as the jail, and a motel that houses homeless people. I waited for 33 minutes past my appointment time, and *** did not show up. I was getting really hot and uncomfortable waiting out there so i called an uber home. Fast forward 2 hours later, i called for a refund and the person I spoke to basically explained to me that It's been too long we cant give you a refund which makes NO sense, how can you not give me a refund for a service that was for TODAY that Im reporting TO YOU TODAY, that you didnt give me! How is it my fault that the instructor didnt show? At 12:15pm, 2 HOURS AFTER MY APPOINTMENT, *** called me to say he finally made it and his excuse was that he had to handle something never was i told he would take THAT long nor was there any apologies for everyone involved in this mistake. I got my money back through my bank disputing it just want to warn others before they book here. You most likely will never see your instructor or get the services you paid for.

  Hello, I think you may have the wrong A-1 Driving School. We are located in ************** ****. I know there are other driving schools in ********** and ******* with our same name. The Zip code in this review is for *******. this is the A-1 Driving School in ****. I don't show we have a student in our system with your name *******************************. Nor does **** have cities named ******* or ********. If you are referring to A-1 Driving School in **** please give the date you registered and the Address to which you went to. the current complaint does not make since to me.

  Awful company!! Had a good experience with an older child so I didnt look anywhere else with the next one, big mistake!! The issues are not something new, several reviews on different platforms all say the same thing. You can not get drives and the office staff doesnt care to offer a solution other than, try again next week. They would not guarantee my daughter could get 3 drives in 10 weeks before her permit expires. All the issues I brought up she told me she cant dispute anything I said. They know they have a terrible way of running a business and still dont care. Go find any other company!!

  August and September can be a challenging time to get a driver license anywhere in the State. There are things that make it difficult for A-1 to make a promise to complete someone by a certain date or in a certain amount of time such as student availability, when the learner permit is shown, if they cancel appointments, if they no show, if they are logging in on schedule day, if they show to a drive without the learner permit, sickness, and vehicle availability are just a few. A-1 is working to get everyone done. A-1 has been able to complete more students this summer than any other private school. We are always hiring, purchasing more cars and we cap our enrollment. We give the students flexibility. Our website home page lets customers know to expect slower completion times in the summer months. I would need your students name in order to see any particulars to their situation. I am sorry for any inconvenience.
