Terrible customer service. I never even got into the consult. Two phone calls over about a week left me unimpressed (seemed disorganized, possibly a new employee) but "reputation"/name recognition was there, so I booked. Was told on the phone $281 for the consult, but upon arriving was told the consults are 'from" $281, and could be twice that. When I mentioned this was not brought up on the phone I was told the person who I had talked with was "good", and had been there 15 years (which surprised me immensely) Instead of deescalating, they stood their ground, were condescending, and offered no solution, so I left, having wasted an hour each way. 100% confidence lost. I felt cheated and bullied. This was not hig-end healthcare, but rather a sleazy corner mechanic treatment.

The patient was quoted the price for a self-pay consultation.  Similar to a visit to any physician office, there is a fee for the consultation.  At check-in the front desk was informing the patient that they would collect after the visit in the event the physician determined additional testing is needed based on the results of the consultation.  This is very similar to visiting an orthopedic doctor, paying for the consultation, then the doctor requesting an X-ray or MRI, to further diagnose the extent of the injury.  The cost of the X-ray or MRI, is not included in the initial consultation.

Patient claimed to our check-in representative that he was told the consultation and surgery would be $281.  This is an unrealistic expectation for a procedure that costs over $3,000 and not what the phone staff are trained to share when a patient is scheduled.

The patient's frustration that the potential for additional charges was not discussed on the phone during the time of scheduling will be reviewed and additional training provided where necessary.

Unfortunately, this patient will experience the same results at all clinics that he visits for his desired care.  He will pay a consult fee, and then pay for any additional testing needed based on the consult.  If surgery is the determined care plan, then he will need to pay for the surgery.

Beware!!! They will charge $45 for a copy of your prescription and will not warn you of the charge. Makes you wonder what else they are taking advantage of.

We do charge $45 for refractions. This information is in the packet that we give our patients when scheduling appointments. It is also part of our patient agreement that is signed by the patient at the time of the visit
