Never opened an account. Never had a relative open an account. But yet my information is out on the website. I asked to have this information removed and the company will not do it without legal action. Is it so much to ask for personal security???

Scammers. I bought and paid 99 dollars for dna test. For 1 dollar they offered an annual membership to their website. 2 months later they charge me 109 dollars and said it was a renewal fee for the membership. Would not refund even though we never logged in and advertised the 1 dollar membership. Had to call my bank to block them because I am worried they will continue to take money out.

Do NOT subscribe to anything. They get you with a free trial but your stuck with a 6-month subscription even if you cancel immediately. I found out b/c my Apple Pay alerted me to a $32 charge. No way to get out of it until September. Never again.

Paid $49.99 for some up charge monthly membership that showed no additional results. I cancelled the next day and they charged another $25 for early cancellation. I looked into FAQs to see why and it says because sometimes it's discounted. 1 day is not worth $75 whether it was discounted or not. So it's a scam. If you use this, don't sign up to see any extra results. It won't show you anything and then will charge you for cancelling it. Very fraudulent.

Ancestry is garbage. They do not believe in helping the customer. They simply believe in money over ***************** Would definitely not recommend using the service and if you do sign up for a trial because youre interested, but youre not quite sure. Make you cancel it before it renews because they will not give you a refund so to me. It seems like its just one of their money gimmicks, so everybodys been warned.

Beware of the "got ya" automatic renewal from these folks. If it slips up on you and they renew you automatically they give you no refund. Shameful. They've lost a decades old customer and they don't care.

Ancestry took away bare minimum information about dna connections and now charges high monthly rates to see any info!

They automatically renew subscriptions even if you started with a free subscription from a promotion so if youre not careful and make sure its all canceled they will NOT refund your money even the next day. I understand that in their terms they are not required to refund money but to me thats bad business. I will not be using them since they are keeping my $150 for three months of service I did not want to begin with.
