    As you consider your options this tax season, we STRONGLY discourage you from using Paramount Tax. We and our family were longstanding Paramount Tax customers, using them every year since they were a local tax preparation shop. However, in recent years, after John stepped back and they started franchising, the quality of service steeply dropped. Just a few lowlights from their service. 1) They sent back draft tax forms that were populated halfway with our tax materials, and half with someone else’s tax materials. They were unapologetic when we asked them what happened. 2) Despite sending all requisite forms (including for an EV purchase) they neglected to include the forms, omitting $7,500 in tax credits. We had to correct them, and hand hold them through entering the information (despite clearly providing all the information in our original correspondences). 3) There were numerous other minor and (major) errors and omissions, including omitting IRA contributions, miscoding those contributions (resulting in possible tax burdens), and getting income and contribution numbers incorrect. 4) Their customer service is rude and unprofessional. When we had the audacity to question their preparation and to explain that they had made numerous errors, they told us this would be the “last year they would do our taxes”. I cannot emphasize enough that you should look elsewhere for your tax preparation. If you use Paramount, you will be sorely disappointed.
