Our 24K mile *** **** EV stopped providing cold **, so I scheduled an appointment to have my college age daughter take it in and have fixed, assuming our 100K warranty was good.Appointment was scheduled a month in advance so when she showed up at 7:30am on 6/27/24, after waiting 8 hours, they told her "Our EV guy is not here, you will have to come back tomorrow. Today, she is there at 7:30am. They diagnosed that the noise the ** is using requires a new blower. **** said it was low on refrigerant, "but we can't find a leak, so it is going to cost you $700 for the refrigerant that we put in the unit. If you don't pay the $700, we will discharge the refrigerant that we put in." I told my daughter that $700 for refrigerant is too much and it should be under warranty so my daughter told them that I want you to perform whatever warranty service you are willing to provide. Their response "We are going to remove the refrigerant and It's going to blow hot air" So they removed all of the refrigerant from the system, even the refrigerant that was in the car when it arrived and the system won't blow any air, hot or cold. This morning when she took the car in, at least it would blow air, now it doesn't even blow. I regret buying a *** and I regret scheduling an appointment with Doug Smith Kia.

Our Jeep has been in the shop at **** Smith for over a month. We had an appointment, which is a complete joke as they did not start working on it for a day or two. The service writer, ****** is making excuses that the delay is the warranty company's fault. I have spoken with the warranty company 2 times. The first time the agent told me to have ****** call and ask for him specifically. He did not do that. This morning they told me they tried to call ****** twice last week and he was ON VACATION! I would expect that my car would not just sit while he is out, but that it be transferred to another service person, or that ****** at least let us know he would be gone. He texted us before that and asked if he could put 20 dollars of gas on our bill so they could test it. We left it with a 1/2 tank of gas. We have told ****** repeatedly that we use this vehicle for business and we are losing hundreds of dollars every day that it sits in the shop. We even had to defer our car payment because of it. The last time it was in **** Smith's service, I went to get something I needed from the car and was told a tech had taken it home for the weekend and had that Monday off. Both communication and service have been terrible when we have had our vehicle in their shop. We will NEVER go to **** Smith again.

Thank you for your patience with getting your vehicle diagnosed. It has been a difficult process trying to work through your aftermarket service contract company. I have given the technician authorization to continue with diagnostics despite the aftermarket service contract company not wanting to pay for the diagnostics. We will hopefully have more answers soon to determine what the next steps will be.

I recently had a bad experience at **** Smith Jeep while trying to buy a new set of tires for my Jeep. The representative at the parts desk was particularly unhelpful and seemed annoyed from the moment I walked up to them. The price they had previously given me had also changed, which made the situation worse. However, I decided to try the ************************** Jeep dealership in *****. I called about the same tire offer and spoke to ***** in the servicing department. The difference in helpfulness and engagement was amazing. ***** was patient, knowledgeable, and eager to help me find the right tires for my Jeep. Based on this experience, I highly recommend ************************** Jeep dealership in ***** for their exceptional customer service. I will now be driving further to their dealership for all my Jeep needs, knowing that my business is valued and appreciated.
