6/3/24- 6/17/24 was given an amount she was responsible for paying before the exam was done. She was told that $240 was the total amount she was responsible for all the work she had. She paid the $240 which was the percentage of total work she was getting. My sister was with my elderly mom(********* *****) when she was given the total amount she was going to be responsible for. Now, the office sent her a bill for $3,294.00. Mom is elderly. My sister went to the office to ask why mom is getting this bill when she was told a total amount and thats what she paid. My mother and sister confirmed with the office personnel that she was not going to be billed for anything else. They were told that mom would not be getting any more bills and that the insurance will cover the rest of the cost.

I went to the Aspen dental for a general cleaning and evaluation of services needed. I received cleaning in my bottom teeth which was a deep clean and I scheduled my next appointment for fillings and then later I would need to do the top. I decided to get a second opinion because i found it strange that they kept calling and requesting prepayment before services. When I went to the new dentist they said I dont have any teeth needing fillings, Aspen dental said I needed 4. They also charged me 238 dollars for my Lower deep cleaning and upper would be another ***************************************** only 99 to finish my deep cleaning. I do have insurance. I immediately moved my service to the new dentist because the integrity in their services show: they were trying to compromise the health of my teeth by giving me fillings for cavities that didnt even exist. I called the office and informed them I wouldnt be back and I also had two children under their care and I had already paid for their service and wanted the money returned. That was returned but now they sent me a 700 dollar bill for a deep cleaning. Absolutely ridiculous. If the services werent covered by my insurance they should have said so, and they were trying to perform fillings for cavities that didnt exist. This business needs to have integrity, how is it that I only paid 100 for my other half of my mouth deep cleaning and they are trying to change me over 900 for the top! I want this settled but most important I want to make my comments heard because how many other people are you trying to do this to. Im highly dissatisfied, and who in their right light has 900 dollars laying around for a cleaning!

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.

This business always say they are going to reach out and resolve the issue and they don't. I filed a complaint with the police and they promised him that they were going to reach out to me and never did. I complained to theState Board of Dental Examiners ot Texas and they did not respond. I think they simply don't care. Please keep the complaint active.

    Regards,

he ********** make matters worse, Dr. ***** did not complete all the work I paid for, and when I requested a refund, ***** ****** refused. Instead, they sent me a $3,000 bill for procedures they claimed werent covered by insurance. My insurance confirmed that unnecessary crown preparation was performed on a healthy tooth and that the cleaning wasnt done correctly. After months of effort, I obtained my dental records and discovered that my signature had been forged on consent forms. I reported this to the Texas City Police, and an investigation is underway. If anyone else has experienced similar issues at this location, please report it to the Texas City Police.
