I am writing to file a formal complaint against 2021 Training (***************************************) regarding their handling of my Texas P&C Adjuster Pre-Licensing Online Course.I purchased the Texas P&C Adjuster Pre-Licensing Online Course offered by 2021 Training. After making the payment, I was shocked to learn that the course has a strict 90-day access period. This is an unreasonable policy, especially considering the cost of the course. Moreover, I was surprised to find that 2021 Training charges an additional $10 per month for continued access to the course materials after the initial 90-day period, even though I had already paid for the course. This additional fee seemed unfair and excessive, particularly for something I had already paid for.Soon after purchasing the course, I experienced a tragic death in my family, which required me to travel out of state for several weeks. This understandably caused me to fall behind. Due to this personal hardship, I requested a refund given the circumstances. I made it clear that I no longer wished to continue paying the additional monthly fee to maintain access, as I would not be able to complete the course within the short, rigid timeframe *********** request was denied, and instead, my access to the course was canceled. 2021 Training informed me that they would continue to charge me the $10 per month fee to continue access to the course.I believe 2021 Training's business practices are unfair and unreasonable, especially given the circumstances surrounding my personal situation. I am requesting the BBBs assistance in addressing this matter and ensuring that 2021 Training offers fair and transparent policies for their customers, as well as issuing a refund for the course I could not complete under such conditions.Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to your assistance in resolving this issue.

As a provider of online training, we do our best to manage customer expectations of our **********************.  It costs us monthly to give access to our online students to our courseware.  This customer purchased a 32 hour online course.  In our terms and conditions we give them the information about access to the course.   They must check a box stating they have agreed to the terms and conditions before purchasing the training.  The terms and conditions can be found here:   ********************************************************

    It states the following:

    4. COURSE AVAILABILITY

4.1 You have up to 4 months from the date of purchase to access and complete all New Adjuster courses (Texas All-Lines Adjuster Pre-Licensing, Texas P&C Adjuster Pre-Licensing, ******* All-Lines Adjuster Pre-Licensing, Basics of Construction, Practical Adjusting Version 2.0, and Adjuster Concepts and Ethics Through Xactimate X1).

4.2 You have up to 2 months from date of purchase to access and complete all CE courses or non New Adjuster courses.

4.3 You may purchase one-month extensions of time for up to 1 year from the orginal purchase date by contacting us at ************************************************************. (Updated February 27, 2023. Previous Terms and conditions stated the following. You have up to 90 days from date of purchase to complete your course for all except TWIA/TFPA certifications. For ****/TFPA certifications you have 20 days from date of purchase to complete your certifications. If special needs arise, contact **************** and if possible, we will extend.)

    5. CANCELLATION AND RETURNS POLICY

5.1 All Sales Final.  As long as you have not logged on to the online class you can get a refund less $50 processing fee.  After you have logged into the classroom, no refunds are available.

5.2  No refunds will be granted after 30 days of purchase for any reason.

5.3 If fraud or cheating is recognized on your account, no certificate or refund will be issued.

While we wish we could make exceptions to all, we do have to run this as a business.  We felt the request for a full refund was unreasonable since they had already taken advantage of our learning.  We cannot take back their learning.  The purchase was made in October 2024.

We offer extentions of time access for the classroom at $10 per month to cover our cost with our classroom provider which we feel is very reasonable as do many of our customers.  We understand life gets in the way even though the courses could easily be done in the 4 month window provided.  We would be willing to offer a free month access to the classroom at our expense if that would help the situation but cannot offer a full refund.

Markist did reach out to us on March 6, 2025 asking for a full refund which we did respond to on the same day basically explaining to him why we were not able to offer a full refund.

Customer attempted to purchase a course and transaction was denied both times due to address not matching credit card with processing company.  Many times they will see this as a pending transaction on their credit card even though it didn't process and it drops off a day or two later from the pending transactions.

We do not have any record of the customer trying to reach us. And no money was ever received or taken from the customer.
