    First off my daughter went to the Carus Dental in Killeen for routine cleaning covered by insurance and they said they will put on something related to profilaxis and I asked if it was covered by insurance and she (the hygienist) came back saying that it was covered. Couple months later they said it was not covered by the insurance due to age. I was not happy. All payments after my kids or my service were made but this one was $397.36 I was not even happy initially I even contacted the insurance by phone with no luck for coverage. Carus Dental sent the bill to a collection agency and added $99.50 to it. I asked the collection agency for an itemized billing statement and they sent it but failed to explain why the additional $99.50 is being charged (see attachment). The collection agency said its Carus Dental that added that cost. Paying is not the problem, My daughter received the service, even though it was a mistake on their end.my daughter did not need whatever they added to the profilaxis; it was optional and covered etc so thats why I didnt mind if the insurance coveredI dont mind paying but the original fee with no alteration to bills or letters. Thanks. I will not return to that clinic. I sent them an email and they have failed to even respond.
