• Advertising Review:

  BBB promotes truth in advertising by contacting advertisers whose claims conflict with the BBB Code of Advertising.  These claims may come to our attention from our internal review of advertising, consumer complaints, and competitor challenges.  BBB asks advertisers to prove their claims, change ads to make offers more clear to consumers, and remove misleading or deceptive statements. 

  On October 5, 2023, BBB contacted the Genesis Colon Care, LLC regarding health benefits and claimed results advertised on their website: https://genesiscoloncare.com, Yelp page: https://www.yelp.com/biz/genesis-colon-care-hurst, and their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/genesiscoloncare.

  The advertisements include claims to increase energy, aid in weight loss and remove toxins.  BBB has included examples of claims although not comprehensive of Genesis Colon Care LLC advertisements:

  “Through the many colon hydrotherapy reviews, it is easy to learn of the benefits of this
  process. Many of our clients have reported that colon hydrotherapy has aided in weight loss,
  increased energy, clearer thinking, and better digestion. Some clients have also noted an
  improvement with gastrointestinal symptoms such as IBS. Not only is it safe, effective, and FDA
  approved, but if you are searching for colon hydrotherapy in Dallas, then you have come to the right
  place!”

  “Increased Energy, Weight Loss, Remove Toxins, Improve Mood”
  
  “Improve your health and flush out all of the unwanted waste. That is what hydrotherapy does, and
  Genesis Colon Care can help put you on the right track to improve your overall health!”
  
  “Believe it or not, there are many ways your body may tell you that your colon is toxic. These
  symptoms may include fatigue, lack of energy, allergies, asthma, bloating, brain fog, poor memory,
  arthritis, joint pain, depression, irritation, constipation, diarrhea, cellulite, poor digestion, acne, skin
  problems, overweight, irritable bowel syndrome, insomnia, and many others!”

  BBB Code of Advertising States claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or
  results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective
  data.

  BBB requested Genesis Colon Care LLC to substantiate the advertised claims with recent, reliable, and competent studies including any FDA approvals, or discontinue the advertised claims.

  As of November 6, 2023, Genesis Colon Care LLC failed to respond to BBB's request to modify, substantiate or discontinue the advertised claims.
