Not happy with our recent experience at Westside Lexus Pre-Owned. Found a vehicle that was about 9-months old in new condition. My wife was told the keys for the vehicle was available. We agreed on a price, signed the contract & payment was made.
After this process, we went to pickup the keys only to find out there was only one key. The salesperson told us he is not sure if there was another key & would try to locate the 2nd key. Then a day or two later, I noticed the owners manual was also missing. I informed our salesperson and he said he would check with the original owner.
After a couple of weeks of going back and forth, we were told neither were available. He told us it was not certified & is sold as is, but he is the same person that originally told us both keys were available. A replacement key is almost $600 and I feel like we were cheated and lied to at Westside Lexus Pre-Owned.
I will never purchase another vehicle from this dealer again.

I brought my vehicle to this dealership 06/05/2023 because my vehicle would not start and informed them that my vehicle is under warranty, which was looked up and verified.
    After day 1
I was told a diagnostic was run, and no determination was made on why my car would not start.
    After day 2
I was told to bring my spare key to the dealership
    After day 3
I was told there was "rodent damage"
I was told the ridiculous explanation that "because of the evidence of mouse footprints on my battery, it was determined that a mouse cut one of the cables leading to my battery" and that was the reason my car would not start.
***so after the THIRD day of looking under my hood and inspecting my vehicle, touching and moving things around under my hood, touching my battery, wiggling this cable and attaching that cable...I was told there were "mouse footprints" on my battery. How ridiculous.
Receipt was not detailed. Simply a dollar amount for labor and parts, yet none were reflected on my receipt.
No one at this dealership has cared to help me get answers about this issue and my bill. This was their way to NOT honor my warranty.
    Buyer beware.
They also claimed I denied an alignment that that no one EVER spoke with me about.
I asked the service manager about it and he agreed that no one spoke with me about the alignment.
Emailed management, emailed the GM, now contacting the Texas AG’s office claiming deceptive practices. Read your receipt closely people.

I am sorry that Mr. *********** is dissatisfied with his experience at Westside Lexus. Westside Lexus and our team have been totally transparent with Mr. *********** from the beginning of our transaction and throughout the repair process. Mr. ************* Lexus was towed into our dealership because it was not running. He did inform us that he had an extended warranty. We provided Mr. *********** with a complimentary loaner car while we were diagnosing his Lexus. Upon extensive diagnosis it was discovered that the vehicle had rodent damage to the wire harness behind the battery area. This is considered damage from an outside influence and unfortunately Mr. ************* extended warranty did not cover this repair. We provided him with an estimate and pictures of the rodent damage. Mr. *********** authorized the repair and in good faith, we repaired his Lexus. We actually charged him less than what we originally quoted him for the repair and he was able to drive off with his Lexus in good running condition. If for some reason he is not satisfied with the workmanship, we will be happy to stand behind our repair, but it is unfair for Mr. *********** to make baseless accusations of fraudulent behavior as we have been fair and transparent throughout the entire process. In regard to the alignment recommendation, Mr. *********** was provided a multipoint inspection report and it was his decision not to perform the recommended alignment. I have attached pictures of rodent damage, a copy of the multipoint inspection report and the detailed receipt, all of which we provided to Mr. *********** during the transaction.

The facts of the matter were this...
    My car would not start
I had it towed to Westside Lexus
I gave them my warranty that they verified.
They provided me with a loaner
    A diagnostic test was performed
They asked me to bring my spare key
    Further investigation was "needed"
I was told that "a rodent chewed a wire"

I was shown the pictures on his monitor and this was the conversation...
Me-show me where there is rodent damage
    Him-well, something cut that wire
Me-well how can you determine that the wire was cut by a rodent?
*nothing was chewed. ONE wire was cut. NOTHING else was disturbed near or on my battery. Rodents DESTROY things. They don't look at a series of wires and decide to chew just one. My wire was not chewed by any rodent. I will stand by that. Lexus did not want to pay for the repair. I stand by that also.
That particular day, it was raining. When the tow driver attempted to "jump" my car, it left rain drops on the battery...NOT a rodent. NOT rodent "footprints" smh
Knowing that they were lying, and in frustration (and needing my vehicle) I paid for the repair and received my vehicle.
When I came home and looked closer at the receipt it reflected these blanket charges...
    Miscellaneous parts $637
    Shop supplies $20
NOT ONE REPAIR PART WAS ITEMIZED.
I also noticed that "customer declined the alignment" was written atop...and I never once was informed about an alignment.
I returned and asked about my receipt and wanted an explanation about declining a recommendation for an aliment.
He AGREED that no person spoke to me about an alignment.
This further supports my claim that this company is fraudulent and deceptive. The response above states that "it was his decision not to perform the recommended alignment" is a LIE. I was never informed of any such recommendation, and therefor never declined the service.

What is "unfair" is that Westside Lexus provided me pictures of what any battery would look like if you opened your hood at this moment. Any ordinary human would consider 'rodent damage" as chew marks, gnaw marks, or droppings. NONE of those were in the images that were went to me.
I believe that because I had a valid warranty (not from Westide Lexus) that they were determined to find some way to make money of my repair. This entire series of events is fraudulent and deceptive to say the least.
