BEWARE – FRAUDULENT EMPLOYMENT OFFERS
KBR is aware that fraudulent employment offers are being transmitted both via email and telephone by individuals claiming to be representatives of the Company. To date, several variations on this scam have come to our attention; however, the basic framework involves a request for personal information leading to a subsequent offer of employment where the applicant may “work from home.” The victim might be provided salary information, documents reflecting employment benefits, as well as various other official looking documents, such as a fake employment contract.
Please be advised that these communications are FRAUDULENT and are NOT sent from anyone affiliated in any way with KBR. Correspondence of the nature described above is a scam and should not be responded to. You should NOT under any circumstances provide personal information to these scam artists, such as social security numbers, passport numbers, account numbers etc., NOR should you agree to pay any “processing fees,” accept or agree to cash a check on behalf of the scam artist, or otherwise engage in ANY financial dealings.
If you receive such a message, please contact your local law enforcement agency and provide any details you may have.
