Their online returns are fraud! I literally tried to return an unopened used game controller and the physical stores dont accept them. So, I spent literally a hour trying to do an online return. For the most part, the online customer service guy had me on hold for 15 to 30 minutes trying to process my return. He said it would take 10 days to process the refund. Well, after 10 days I get a email from GameStop saying your order was delivered so no refunds can be issued. Well, duh, I got my game controller, I was trying to return it because I didnt need it anymore. Anyway, Im basically stuck with this controller. So, I recommend no one buying anything online from GameStop if you dont want the kind of difficulty I had. Its just best to go to a physical store to purchase anything from GameStop. I honestly think that customer service guy is the only one working for them. Very disappointed that Im not able to return this unopened used game controller at my local GameStop store. *. ****

Their online site is a complete joke they lie about what they have in stock, lie on orders saying it has shipped while it has not, you sign up for their order notifications but they never send a notification and keep changing.

0 stars if i could. After being a long time powerup rewards member, and spending a substantial amount of money with this company, I had an awful experience with a return for credit WITH a receipt. And the best part? The item was new and sealed. I was refused even a store credit, to just replace the item. I had to run around from corporate, which i was under the assumption they would have helped me find a solution, just to be told there was nothing they could do. I would highly be aware of doing any kind of business with GameStop for high priced items just in case the items are defective. They try to scam you by making you buy a warranty, which only lasts a year.. compared to the original warranty from the manufacturers who are most of the time two years and ****** wonder why GameStop is losing business because you guys are all about power to the players but yet when the player actually needs help finding a solution to a uncommon situation, you guys just throw your hands up.I hope GameStop sees their final days within the next year or so.

I ordered a Console from GameStop and they started by sending the incorrect GB storage. A return was initiated and its been 2 months waiting for them to send me the correct one. GameStop doesn't answer the phone when you call and will take 2 weeks to reply to their Care at ************************** email. The business is going to file bankruptcy soon. Get all stock you have out and run.

Tried to sell my old xbox to them. Despite calling ahead they claimed their equipment wasn't working & they could not buy it. I suspect they lied.

GameStops website promised 1-3 days for delivery of a PS5 with several games and controllers. After 4 days, ***** claimed that GameStop had not even provided the package for delivery. It is now 7 days since the products were ordered, and they have not been delivered. ***** is saying 2 more days. So if it even arrives in 2 days, it will have been triple the promised amount of time for delivery. I have emailed GameStop support three times already, and I have not received even one reply. Its been four days since the first email was sent. GameStop has not even sent one reply to the three emails I have sent. Not one!

We sent my son's Pokemon card in for grading through GameStop and we stopped being able to get updates on it online and no one would give us an update at the store. It took over four months for us to learn that GameStop had it sitting at their store but they couldn't release it because of an error in their system. We called and emailed every number, address, etc that we could find and threatened a lawsuit but couldn't get any help. Finally we filed a police report so we could use it in court and only then did they agree to release the card. So we went to pick it up and were told, once again, that they couldn't give it to us. The employee called his boss and got their approval to turn it over... they just forgot to let him know. I only leave one star because I couldn't do zero. Disgusting.

Several weeks ago, I purchased a copy of a PS5 video game and before I left the store, I realized I was charged for a warranty I didn't ask for. While searching Reddit, I learned GameStop practices something called the "assumptive approach" in which employees are trained to place warranties on every single transaction where applicable. I'm unsure if every store is trained this way or if it's still happening or if this is legitimate, but I wanted to let it be known on the BBB website.
