      My father signed on with Traditions Hospice 8 months ago. At first we were pleased with the services, my father had declined since starting with them, due to incontinence he required a ***** catheter in December 24. This was the beginning of the nightmare. The catheter was a constant source of problems. It would sometimes last a week before leaking but most the time it leaked every few days. The staff couldnt figure out why this kept occurring. They changed it many times, antibiotics, different sizes, etc. just never got it solved. As a result of this his lower back was very red and irritated. Traditions hospice solution? They reported ME to adult protective services. Not only did I have no warning about this but after calling and asking if it was in fact their company that reported me, I was told yes. The reason I was given is that theres concerns about him sitting in wet diapers!! We had bath aids and nurses out to our home 3-4 times a week sometimes more! He had a leaking catheter for 3 months. It was 24/7. Cleaning, washing linens, being available for staff whenever they could come here. Bottom line, the people I called to help me with my paralyzed father, the people I opened my home too and asked for help, filed an actual report to adult protective services on ME!. Fast forward to a week later, I had this horrendous social worker and two police officers knock on my door (great for the neighbors) yelling my name and asked to come in. The social worker ******* ****** w/**** who had had an appointment to come here the week before had cancelled 15 mins prior and said she would call to R/S. Next thing I know she showed up with police. My poor father, was confused and questioned for 30 mins. In the end she left saying we are all good here. She didnt even physically look at his back! She just questioned a non verbal, 78 yr old stroke victim. Imagine caring for your parent who is dying and getting BS issues like this. Be careful who you let in.
