    My email message to American Songwriter Magazine today:
    Hey,
    I had a membership fee charged to my paypal account today. When I log into my account it doesn't show that purchase, it only shows the payment from last September when the membership automatically renewed.
    A couple things:
    1. I could swear I cancelled my membership before that auto renewal in September, so that seems strange.
    2. There is no method of payment saved on my account, so I don't know how I was charged for that renewal last September or the charge that occurred today.
    I definitely want my money back at least for the charge that occurred today. Where did that come from? Why would I pay for another membership when according to my account, my membership is still valid until September of this year. There's some shady **** going on here.
    Lastly, the number of emails I would receive from american songwriter was outrageous. I had to block you because I was tired of getting multiple emails everyday wanting me to pay more money to enter some sort of contest.

    American Songwriter Magazine does not list a physical address on their website. The email address they provide for contact is not valid as of 2/1/24. They automatically renewed an invoice that is verified had been canceled one year prior. I was forced to cancel the renewal invoice again, and other than a small statement at the top of the web page after I canceled that confirmed the cancellation, there was no confirmation the cancellation has been recorded/received, or will be honored, by the magazine. No way to reach a person to talk to. Even the number on the BBB page is not valid. This organization seems to be very unreputable if not complete scam.
