The products are pricey. 12 pencil boxes $60. The same pencil boxes sold for a dollar at other retailers. Teaching in the area we are in, the familes should get a better bang for their buck. The school does not recieve a large profit The familes are spending alot yet the teachers have minimal if any reward. It id advertised otherwise to familes.

$48 for a pack of googly eyes? You’re kidding right?

So sad to see parent money wasted on dollar products sold for 5x their marker value. As a teacher, I am ashamed to have to participate and give funding to this business.

It's exciting to get money for your classroom through a fundraiser and donations from a supportive community! However, I was very disappointed to see that prices were all too often four-times higher than the typical retail store costs. I have $340 to spend, but I haven't bought anything yet since I feel like I'm wasting my community's hard-earned money on some very high margin items that I can get for one-fourth to half of the cost anywhere else. This idea is great in theory, -and rallies the community, but it fails to care for classrooms wholeheartedly when it comes to having at least somewhat reasonable pricing options. I'm not sure if this is a non-profit or for-profit business, but it seems like this idea might only work effectively for teachers and communities if it were a non-profit that operated as such. The Caring For Classrooms Gift Card Redemption Center is operated by Reading For Education that has been around since 1981, so I'm hoping they're able to find some common ground for operational sustainability and truly being a benefit to teacher's and student's classroom needs. Unfortunately, I can't give above 2-stars to Caring for Classrooms as-is currently on February 8th, 2024. If they explain more on their website as to why the prices are higher, -and where the funding goes, that would feel more legitimate. Right now, it just leaves a very bitter taste after receiving a sweet gift from our community.

One must question the integrety of this company. It is meant to be a fund raiser for teachers. Students ask family and friends to make a donation. All donations go directly to a teacher. However, teachers can only purchase things from them. For example, ****-Phones Foam Headphones Black from ******** *********** are $24.72 on ****** and $44.95 on Caring for Classrooms. A Black Rolling Cart, ***** Products, which is a crate that can be folded and has wheels is $94.99 on Caring for Classrooms and are $58.00 on the company's web site. It is so dissapointing to see companies take advantage of people like this. It's too bad I cannot give them 0 stars.
