Behind the Super 8 is Mountain Inn that is owned by same people. The advertising sign for the price of a room says $34.99 a night but once you attempt to pay at the front desk they charge you $60.00 a night. I don't know of any taxes high enough to almost double the price. If you give them your money and expect any change in return you will have to ask for it. Otherwise if you stay silent she will keep it no matter the amount. Also They have about 5 specific people who are currently room keepers and property maintenance who work together to steal customers belongings and divide it among themselves and hotel owner. While there I had phones and clothes stolen out of my personal belongings.

We checked into this hotel for a one night stay. We had two adjoining rooms. These rooms were the dirtiest rooms we’ve ever seen. There were dead bugs, blood, urine, and other fluids on the floors and walls. The sheets were “clean” but a booger, multiple hairs, and other debris were seen on the sheets. Floors have not been vaccumed in months.
We stayed. Didn’t complain- you get what you pay for, right? We left our key cards on the counter, as there was no check out attendant.
After traveling an hour towards home, BOTH parties realized that the manager had kept our drivers licenses. We called. They claimed they did not have them and refused to look for them or call the manager who checked us in. We called the police to file a theft report and the assistant chief let us know this the 5th time this year that Id’s were kept. He also claimed that they are trying to shut down this hotel down for shady business practices.
As of today, corporate Windham has not helped us with a resolution.
