I have had good and bad home service in ********* on my **** purchased a couple years ago. Some workmen seem qualified and thorough while others appear lost to the chore. The billing and payment office seems amateurish in their routine information and statements for payment. On services performed in the fall the ******* was terrible and I complained to the manager who asked how they could make it up. I suggested a complimentary service on the next routine service call. When the spring service arrived the serviceman was good and I asked prior to service about the cost and they said it was taken care of.Then I observed a rejection of payment on my credit card for a large sum due to it being charged on an old card number dropped due to unauthorized access by *****. No informational communication from the company until an email requesting a change of payment for their service. No receipt, notice or statementjust a link to give them method of payment. I found the communication of this company poor and unprofessional. Ive asked for management to look into this and explain whats going on.Review fromVeronica G

Terrible service. To say we're dissapointed is an understatement. Charged $600 for a drain pipe issue after being told at ****** it's normally $30, but on weekends $109.Okay, got charged $600 - AC quit after 20 minutes and you didn't reservice the same day with 4 hrs until COB day. You came back and did a reservice the next morning, & that didn't work - again.Called another AC repair company and they solved it for $90.00 in under an 1 hr. The problem was part of our attic drainage piping was not connected!!!! Like how do you miss that?I feel like we've been ripped off!!!!!Not asking for a refund because we consented to the work - although we were told bs apparently - because you missed a section of drainage pipe Shame on ****** for recommending this company and shame on ARS Rooter - that's 3 Veterans you just screwed over.Review fromCharles D

This review is for ****** Heating and Air - Memphis I had a small leak in a copper line outside my air conditioner unit. The *** and supervisor told me since I did not have them service the unit (less than 5 years old) or have receipt that the unit was serviced every year, that the warranty was voided. They quoted me $2,999 to fix this small leak, coolant and labor. I was able to get another company to fix this for $600 - took less than 1 hour to fix. To say this company will NEVER get my business again is an understatement. If I could leave zero stars - I would.Review fromDebra M

On 5/7/25 I signed a Home Improvement Agreement for HVAC installation to include new duct work for $13,319.60. I also made a $6,000 down payment with my credit card. Installation scheduled for 5/14/25. I called the day before scheduled installation to confirm and was told by the sales person (that I signed contract with) that there was a problem with the price on the contract. He explained that he listed the replacement of the duct work too low and was hoping his company wouldnt catch the error but they did and now hed have to increase the price by $3,500. Or they could install the unit and not do the new duct work for the same $13,319.60 price. I told the sales person that I signed the contract for the stated price and I was not willing to pay an extra $3,500 nor was I going to accept paying the same price without the agreed upon new duct work installation. So I have wasted a weeks time on this company that reneged on my signed contract which was very unprofessional. Also, this company immediately posted my $6,000 down payment so now I have to wait 7-10 days to get my refund, which means I cant hire a new company for HVAC installation until I get my down payment backagain, very unprofessional. Im very disappointed in this company, who ***, is subcontracted through **********. Buyer please ****** and steer clear of this company! If I could give this company ZERO stars for wasting my time and depositing my money I would! Do NOT do business with them, this could easily be your time and money they waste! **Review fromLes S

Tuneup completed, with comments from ARS technican: blower motor leaking oil, 9 degree air cooling difference (indicating low refrigerant levels/ refrigerant leak), hot spots on the circuit board, outdoor fan motor leaking oil, low refrigerant pressures reading 46.7/132.9psi with a superheat of 39.3 (which indicate a refrigerant leak somehwere in the system), quoted price to repair $7,000.00 - $9,000.00. KNEW WAS BOGUS. it was working fine. We just needed a tune up confirmation for it, to sell our house. I called the office, woman said she was the manager. She said they stood by the technican's findings. Very rude and nasty! This company made stuff up to attempt to scam money from us and were pushing to install a new system. No pictures or proof was provided with their assessment. 2 DAYS later had another **** company come out to review HVAC system. They said: Inspected evaporator coil, clean blower motor, inspect filtration system, adjust blower components, test and adjust safety controls, tighten electrical connections, inspect electrical heating elements. All components of electric heat and aux heat are working as they should. All components of the heat pump are working correctly at this time. Photos were attached showing the readings/pictures of the unit and the results, from this second company. BEWARE of ARS/Rescue Rooter! Choose any other company - an honest one.Review fromKim S

ASR/Rescue Rooter is very unprofessional and poorly managed. We scheduled a spring tune-up for our HVAC System 4 times because they were overbooked and understaffed. We are on a VIP plan and sent multiple complaint to management and it fell on deaf ears. Very, very, unhappy with these Jokers!!Review fromOrlandos W

I have been a loyal customer of ARS for nearly 13 years, first in North Carolina and now in Georgia with the Columbia, SC branch. However, my most recent experience has been absolutely disheartening and frustrating. It all started when I called ARS on April 4, 2025, due to an issue with no cool air flow in my HVAC system. Mr. Roger McLemore arrived the next day to assess the situation and diagnosed a leaking evaporator coil, which was still under the manufacturer's warranty. He came back a few days later with his son and a replacement coil, only to discover that the replacement coil leaked as well. On top of that, he found that the inline was also leaking. I received an estimate for repairs on April 14, 2025—$3,624 to fix the HVAC inline and $2,638 to replace the evaporator coil. Thankfully, I found another company that repaired the inline issue for under $2,000, a huge relief. The company I hired determined nothing was wrong with the evaporator coil, just a leak in the lines. However, the real problem came with ARS's complete lack of communication. I called their office eleven times between April 8 and 30 and on May 1, 2025, and no one returned my calls. Also, the dispatcher did not respond to any of the scheduler's calls. This type of service is beyond frustrating. Not only did they fail to provide the guaranteed exceptional service I expected, but they also failed to communicate or follow up in any way. To make matters worse, I had just renewed my maintenance program with ARS and called to request a refund. Yet, as of this writing, I am still awaiting a response. Given the total lack of communication, poor service, and overcharging, I cannot in good conscience recommend ARS to anyone. After 13 years of being a loyal customer, this experience has left me completely disappointed and distrustful of the company. I will be taking my business elsewhere.Review fromDiane W

I waited until 10pm then called and cancelled. The dispatcher called the next day to say they were coming for my appointment and when I said the appointment was yesterday, her response was so you dont want them to come out? She was not nice. They did show up and told me my AC unit was out of warranty and tried to sell me a new unit late that night. I said Id like to talk to my home warranty people first and please send over all the documentation of what they found. I never heard back from them again. No paperwork. No report. No text. No call. I texted the serviceman and requested documentation again. Nothing. Once I said no to an over $15,000 unit, when mine was working, they refused to talk to me again. The entire experience was awful.Review fromThomas F

Absolutely terrible customer service. The install team left without fully setting up our unit. The sales person promised things he apparently was unable to follow through on. Definitely have buyers remorse.ARS/Rescue Rooter
