    We have been with Nationwide for over 5 years, we have been enrolled in Auto Payment the entire time. We have moved 3 times in while being insured with Nationwide. Our last home was at ***** ******* *A prior to moving to our current home 2*** ********** *** ********* ** November 2021. I Purchased a Motorcycle in Jan 2023 and insured it with Nationwide. In June of 2023 I decided to sell the motorcycle and canceled the insurance, on the motorcycle only and stated that I am canceling only because I sold the motorcycle.

    On 10/16/23 I called Nationwide to see how much it will cost to add our son in 2 months when he turns 16, and they stated that we do not have an auto policy with them. I asked them why and they stated that we were canceled due to not providing our valid TN driver’s license. At no time where we asked to provide our driver’s license. The agent has our email addresses and phone numbers. We asked for them to reverse it, we offered to pay everything back and they stated that they would not do anything but charge us a higher fee for insurance.

    This is extremely upsetting. We had 5 homes insured with Nationwide and we thought 2 cars at the time of our phone call. We have a lot of assets. 1 car accident could have financially destroyed us. This is not right in any aspect. If I wouldn’t have called to get a quote to add m y son, I wouldn’t have found out until we checked our billing.

    I have called around for quotes and now our quotes are extremely high due to the error on Nationwide’s side that cause a lapse in insurance.
    This is the last of many problems that we have had with this agency, we have asked multiple times for them to give us a quote for an umbrella policy and they kept saying will get right back to you. I must have asked 10 times before they sated that they do not provide umbrella policies. I just called the online number, and they asked if I wanted to be directed to the umbrella department.

    I wanted to stay and work with this agency due to location and convenience and the pain it is to transfer everything. But this was the last straw. I am not asking for any money. I am not asking for them to reverse their mistake. I am notifying you because I do not want anyone else going through this. Their mistake is not acceptable.

    Nationwide was not on my side. ***** ******* *************
