On December 30, 2022 Bluff City Tree Services, LLC ("Bluff City Tree") cut down the large oak tree at my neighbors property. Since the oak could not be easily accessed by the crane through the neighbors' yard, we agreed to allow the crane into our yard with the explicit understanding that any damage to our property would be repaired by "Bluff City Tree". Our yard sustained significant damage as a result of the crane since the crane work occurred one day after Memphis received a long, slow-soaking rain (12/29/22). This rain made our lawn very soft. Because of the weight of the crane, we now have deep, long ruts in our yard which allows water to collect in them. On 01/03/22, ******************* with "Bluff City Tree" scheduled with my husband to meet with us to survey personally the lawn damage. ************ arrived for the appointment hours prior to the scheduled time, so I hurried home to meet with him. Upon arrival to my home, I saw ************ meeting with my neighbors in their front yard. By the time I was able to exit my vehicle and walk to my front yard, ************ had driven away. While watching him drive away, I called ************ on his cell to come back and meet with me. He declined to come back stating that he already saw the damage by looking over the neighbors' wall. Later that day, in a conversation with my husband, ************ agree to send us a "Plan of Action" explaining how and when we can expect repairs (re-grading and palisades zoysia sod). We have yet to receive this information and no repairs have been made to our property. We sent "Bluff City Tree" a certified Letter asking for their "Plan of Action" on 04/04/22. No response. We filed a civil warrant against "Bluff City Tree" on 07/22/22. In October 2022, a deputy with the ******************** explained that the business address for Bluff City Tree Services, LLC is actually a residential rental property where "many" other civil warrants have been unsuccessfully attempted to be served, according to the renters.
