Purchased a 24x20 carport. They said it would ship int 15 days. It took 6 weeks to get. They sent me 11 roof panels, I had to wait another two weeks before I got a new panel. I had the carport up for 2 months and first snow it collapsed. I tried working with customer support and they told me I bought the wrong one. I don't think they should sell a product that won't even last a few months then put the blame on me. The worst part is I bought a 24x42x9 garage that I am afraid to put up fearing the same outcome. I shouldn't have been sent the correct carport and shed. It should be illegal for them to sell things in a state that it snows in. lucky I wasn't in the carport when it collapsed I spent $12000.00 and know help from Versatube now I have $12000.00 of a pile of useless metal. IF your considering buying a metal building LOOK FOR A COMPANY THAT WILL STAND BY YOU NOT JUST TURN THEIR BACK ON YOU. I do not recommend purchasing form VERSATUBE.

In reviewing the details of your order, our records show that we received your order on Saturday 9/14/2024. The product page for the unit you purchased, just below the 'configure and buy' button, states SHIPPING INCLUDED, FRAME SHIPS IN 10 BUSINESS DAYS. Our shipping documents reflect your Frame Kit shipped on 9/27/2024, exactly 10 Business Days, or 16 regular days from the date of your order. The tracking details show the Frame Kit was delivered on 10/4/2024. We do not state or guarantee transit times once the product has been placed on the truck for shipment. The sheet metal and trim packages are generally delivered within a 7-day window of your frame kit which we outline in our Terms and Conditions. The lead times with this shipment were executed within a time frame and criteria as noted on our website, including the individual product pages in which you purchased your structure. Please be aware, our lead times noted on our website, which are specific by product type, revolve or change in real time based on our volume of orders at any given day, due to seasonality. The quickest turnaround times youll encounter would be during the winter months. Spring and Fall being our busiest months of the year with the longest lead-times. With regards to your carport collapse, our management and engineering teams have already thoroughly reviewed your claim and, based on the information provided, were determined not to meet the criteria for further action under our policies. Here is why: As previously communicated, all VersaTube structures are designed with specific snow and wind load ratings, which are clearly listed on the product pages to assist customers in selecting a structure appropriate for their location and needs. While our products are sold nationwide, it remains the responsibility of the customer to ensure the selected structure meets local code requirements. Our buildings or structures can be purchased in two different sections within our website. First, our Standard Model product offering which are made up of more common size structures designed to meet the load requirements in what makes up most of *****************, which is 20-30PSF Roof Snow Loads @ 90MPH - 110MPH Wind loads. This is the section you purchased your carport which was significantly under rated for your more extreme loads in *************. The other section for purchasing structure is through our Online Designer, which is designed for areas of higher snow loads. In this section, you start by inputting your zip code, and building type and dimensions, and the designer creates a structure in a configuration that meets or exceeds that snow load. This is the section you would have needed to use when shopping for your structure. (To note, regarding your collapsed carport, in our review, it was noted that the photos show only (1) s**** was placed in each of the rafter and peak connections, whereas, per our instructions, it requires (4) screws per connection. Also, your carport came with truss bracing meant to be placed on the interior truss members of the carport, although it appears these truss braces were not included. Both these installation errors greatly reduced the performance and load capacity of your carport, and ultimately contributed to the unit failing, despite, it was not designed for the loads required for your area.)

We apologize for not being able to accommodate your request for a lean-to structure. Unfortunately, we were required to discontinue producing, or selling lean-to's UNLESS they are being attached to an existing VersaTube Building System, or you purchase the lean-to with the VersaTube building kit itself on the initial purchase. The reason being is we are unable to inspect or determine if what you are attaching the lean-to structure to, is substantial enough to carry the weight of the lean-to, or any additional load such as snow. In most cases, these were sold to home owners and attached to the soffit of the home, or an existing wood structure. Nonetheless, if the lean-to is being attached to a preexisting VersaTube Structure, or the lean-to is purchased with your VersaTube building kit order, no problem at all, we can do this! Thank you!

I ordered a Classic carport 24'x20'x8' from VersaTube, that cost over $3000. The order arrived in a timely manner, so there was no problem there. The problem was when I filed for the permit, I was told I needed a stamped engineer plan. I called VersaTube to ask about this and was told that it could take 41 days at a cost of $700. I know this company is aware of the laws in each state and should include this plan in the package price. I live in ******* and just wanted to make people aware, so they don't have a hunk of metal in their yard for two months before it can be put together.

We appreciate your business and support, and apologize for the inconvenience on our lead-time for stamped plans during the time of this review. Stamped plans are not included with our kits considering permitting is not required on all of our structures depending on geographic location, and the intended use of the structure. The majority of municipalities consider carports as a temporary structure and do not require permitting. As well, rural areas, for instance, in most cases are not required to be permitted. Thus, in order to offer our customers the most attractive pricing, the stamped plans are optional! Our engineering department is not a profit center, which we offer as a service to our customers at a much more affordable price than other steel building producers, or in the case of a wood frame construction project, which would require you to hire a local Professional Engineering to create the plans and stamp them which is much more expensive. With relation to lead-times, this changes due to seasonality, of which our website lead time on stamped plans changing in real time based on volume. Our busiest times of the year are Spring and Fall, which is when you are going to see extended, lead-times. Whereas winter months, and even mid-summer, when it's almost to hot to build in some areas due to extreme temperatures, our lead-times are much more reasonable!!
