    I had a wet basement that was causing mold due to another contractor's poor performance. I was told upfront there would be a charge to come out, but if I chose them that charge would be put towards the work. After the inspection, I was told within a day I would get the estimate. The estimate provided a detailed list of work that had to be accomplished to fix my issue. They were 1 of 3 estimates I got. I chose them. They started the work when they said. It took the exact amount of time they estimated. They took measures as to not destroy my lawn and also put down plastic to walk on as to not track debris through the house. Work was done to a top shelf level (hard to find in East TN) and when I needed some additional information to be used to hold the original contractor's poor performance accountable, they provided that information within hours. Quality work that was timely - not the norm that I've found in East TN

    I called this business to get a quote to dry a wet bedroom carpet. They told me they “ didn’t know” how much it would cost, but they scheduled the appointment for the next day. The workers showed up on time and I showed the technician the room and he said he had to call the manager to get the quote. We waited 20 min to get the quote, as the technician said his manager had texted me the amount. This went on for another 5 min and no text so I said let me call him. I contacted the manager and he quoted me $1560. I said sorry, I can’t do that, then he proceeded to tell me I had to pay anyway since they sent the truck out, it was a Saturday, it was an emergency, etc. I said no, I had asked the person who scheduled the appointment repeatedly what they charge and she said “we don’t know”. This is truly an awful way to do business, any company I’ve dealt with has always given me a quote to “ show up”. Very frustrating.

     I am so sorry you feel this way.  Our company policy is to not provide quotes without seeing the affected area.  I am so sorry for the misunderstanding.  I thought that was your understanding when we spoke on Friday evening that we had to see the affected area in order to provide a quote.  You did request the technician to come out on Saturday, which is not normal business hours.  I do appreciate your taking the time to provide your view.  We are always interested in ways to improve our processes to provide better service to our clients.

    This company was given ample opportunity to disclose any service related charges at the time I called. On my initial call to this business I asked repeatedly how much they charged ? The only reply I had was “ They wouldn’t know until they came out”. I asked repeatedly and I kept getting the same response. The lady who took my call still asked if I wanted the techs to come out and we made the appointment for the following day. There was absolutely NO discussion of this being an “ emergency, holiday,or after hours “ appointment. I understand that different businesses have different business practices, and I agreed to the appointment I think it was intentional on their behalf to arbitrarily decide, (after I said I wasn’t interested in their quote) that they now want to “charge a service call.” In fact, I never signed anything that would oblige myself financially. I am a professional business person, and I never do business with companies that do not disclose this information on the initial call. They are deceptive when they say “ we don’t know what to charge until we see what the job is” is misleading” since they failed to disclose that they wait until AFTER the techs show up to tell you they do intend to charge you for a service call. I spoke with the owner/ manager directly and let him know I was under NO obligation to pay them anything, and we do not have an agreement in this matter. Please let everyone know to be very aware of this company! This company reeks of fraudulent and deceptive practices and should stop doing business until changing their billing disclosure practices. I think it’s only fair to warn others who may get caught up with this company. Thanks so much,, Elizabeth C*******
