      We have many problems with our home but the major issue I would like to address is our hvac system. MSI homes built our house and we closed in 2021. Reaching summer our upstairs hvac unit shut off and their subcontractor came out to remove 16 gallons of water from our pan. He moved the pan stating it was too short, said he walked the drain lines, and blamed the issue on our BRAND NEW air filters. We are very prompt to change them monthly at least. Fast forward to a year later, the same issue happened. Except this time, the pan was not there to collect the water. The water fell onto our kitchen ceiling, down the walls and poured out of our electric outlets and baseboards. Their subcontractor was called and said it's not his problem and we are out of warranty. He was unkind, unprofessional and extremely rude. MSI never answered emails or phone calls with any help. We had to have another company come out. Upon inspecting the Unit, they made us aware that the lines ran to an upward angle not allowing water to escape, the unit was slanted to the left causing water to drain out of the side without the pan that was moved by MSI subcontractor, and the drain pan is too short. After hundreds in repairs, and we sent the report to MSI, they came out to inspect. Tom agreed with all recommendations and issues the company we hired had. He said either him or the builder would be in contact with a game plan. That never happened and it's been months. I asked for compensation for the work we had to have done since they and their subcontractors were negligent and unresponsive and have yet to hear anything on this. Fast forward to today, our one year walk through repairs (which are only half completed) and the drywall fix from the issue with the hvac were completed however they fail to provide a solution to having a safe and secure hvac system. We have requested a solution and have nothing.
