    I would not buy a mattress that is made by them! I purchase one payed 1200 to 1500 for it. I have RA was looking for something to help me rest better. After having the mattress for a year, it started sagging and it makes you feel like you are rolling out of bed. I had a very small stain on it. So that is how they get out of the warranty. Which with what I have researched it seem that is a issue with this company the mattress sagging. You can't resale a broken or used mattress. So because of that stain I have to keep that mattress that they sale that only lasted a year before it broke. I wouldn't recommend buying there mattress. They want last a year.

    I purchased a mattress from Southerland because of it's icool technology and for it's 15 year warranty. The mattress has been slept on for less than a year and only by myself, as my husband refuses to sleep on it. I am only 135 Lbs, and it is supposed to be medium firm. The mattress does not keep me cool, and it has a definitive depression in the center. This is a complete fail, and I feel I have been ripped off. I contacted Southerland customer service and warranty, the only number the company provides. I submitted all required pics, and docs they requested. I have had to call multiple times and email them to get any status on my claim for three months. The last time I was able to actually talk with customer service, I was told a letter was sent to me. I have never received a letter. I am writing this review to let other people be aware of their terrible service and warranty!

    ************ purchased her mattress through a "Going out of Business" promoter for the furniture industry. ************'s receipt indicates that the product was sold "as is" and without warranty. Additionally, Southerland's warranty requires the use of a bed frame that has a center support. From pictures that ************ provided, it is clear that the frame used did not have a center support and likely caused the sagging she is complaining about. It is unfortunate that ************ is not happy, but under the terms of her purchase, she waived the rights to her product warranty. If the product was purchased with the Southerland Manufacturer's Warranty, the use of a bed frame without proper support would violate the manufacturer's warranty. While ************ did not like Southerland's response, Southerland did respond timely and correctly to the issue.

    As of this date, 9/7/2022, I have never received any information from Southerland regarding my claim, in spite of my repeated efforts to call and email. It took my review/ complaint with the BBB to hear from this company. This company has terrible customer service and I would not recommend their products to anyone. In regards to Southerland's response communicated only through BBB to my claim, I was assured by the salesman and provided the warranty card at time of purchase. I was told that indeed this mattress was covered by warranty. Regarding my steel frame, it certainly does have a center bar. Also, this mattress promised an icool technology, which it does not. So you not only do not honor your warranty, you lie. I am not surprised, just thought I had found an America- made company that would stand by there product. Terrible and disappointing. I do not recommend.
