Jesse at Midwest Carpentry Solutions was able to slip me in to replace a broken fence post. He brought everything he needed to get the job done. He was friendly and efficient. Got the job done within the time and estimate he provided. I would definitely hire him again for any future work we may need.

Jesse from Midwest Carpentry Solutions was great to work with and was very reasonably priced. We were getting our house ready to sell and he repaired all of our drywall issues. He painted a majority of our walls and made them look new. If for any reason extra repairs come up he will make it right. I would highly recommend Jesse for any work you need. I wish we could have used him with our deck repairs, it would have looked better and saved us thousands. Thanks Jesse for all of your help.

Jesse was very honest and upfront about the job I hired him to do. He supplied me with solutions to fix my kitchen and did not pressure me to do anything I was not comfortable with. I would recommend this company for any carpentry needs!

Contractor appeared professional at first. But, then ran 1 1/2 weeks over his scheduled time for sheetrocking our kitchen. He got upset when we asked him to please clean up after himself a little bit. We are living in our house with small children and liked some barriers put up between the work area and living space. We let him use our ladders and asked if he would clean them when he was done but he did not. He charged us more than he initially told us and worked twice as long as the project was expected. My husband worked a day hanging sheetrock to help him get caught up. He also told my husband to do the two areas of patchwork himself that we asked him to do because of our complaints about his housekeeping. This project really was not that big. He also blamed us for him cancelling a vacation to get this project done. We were not impressed and would not recommend

Ashley, I want to apologize for your experience, and for any misunderstandings as to what work was to be done and when it was to be completed. However, I would like to respond to your review with some particularity as to what caused difficulties on this project. It took me longer than the originally-scheduled time to finish drywalling the kitchen based on the age of the home, and the fact that the ceiling was both extremely bowed and crooked. I fully take responsibility for not having plastic up to create a barrier between the work area and living space, but that was only for the first two days of the project. I quickly corrected my mistake. Furthermore, not only did I state in the bid for the project that I would not cover the floors, but it was your husband that told me not to sweep them up after work was completed each day, so as to not spread dust around the home. I admit to not thoroughly cleaning the ladder because of the lack of time on my end to do so, but it was clear that the ladder already had paint and stains on it before you offered to let me use it. In regards to the overall price of the project, I had to charge more because the project took longer than expected and I needed more materials to complete the job. Importantly, we neither agreed to a set price for materials nor to a fixed price for my mileage. Because of the extra materials and mileage that was incurred, the price ended up being more than what we initially discussed. While it was appreciated that your husband volunteered to help hang drywall for a day, I did not ask him to help and, truthfully, I had to go back and repair the majority of his work after it was completed. The areas of patchwork that your husband completed himself were areas that were not included in the bid. While I had discussed with you both that I could potentially have done those areas, it would have been out of courtesy and not charged as it was not a part of the bid. Lastly, this was not a small project. On the contrary, the project involved work completed in your kitchen, pantry room, and bathroom, along with the complicating factors of the crookedness and age of the home. Any comments that were made in regards to an upcoming trip I had to cancel was not in an effort to blame you and your husband for missing a vacation, it was meant to underscore the level of importance I ascribed to this project by moving around plans I had outside of work when unforeseeable circumstances arose.
