I have been trying to get this billing issue resolved since November of last year when they sent the initial bill. This issue came about when they fraudulently bill my insurance company for a tooth removal and filling on 08/31 2023 when I was only seen for cleaning X-ray and exam. once I reviewed the EOB I called my insurance company to see why the sedation was covered by my insurance My insurance company stated that it was denied due to claim only reflecting one tooth being removed instead of the two teeth and 5 fillings that I had done on 10/10/23 The insurance clause clearly states that in order for payment it has to be two or more teeth removed in different quads of the mouth in which I did but because the fraudulently billed out tooth #14 on 08/31 the claim was denied it took 3 calls to get the claim amended and refilled with the insurance. I’ve called and ask for the office manager to contact me directly to get this billing issue resolved and she refuses to pick of the phone and address me instead she sends a letter to my house stating that the reason have a bill is because my insurance is maxed out. Which is a lie my insurance has contacted the office as well with no luck in speaking with anyone. The reason I have an account balance is because my primary is requesting additional information and my secondary ins still waiting for an amended claim that reflects both teeth being removed, every time I call to provide them this information the manager has always left for the day I’ve left my name and number on numerous occasions and have yet to receive a call back. This is an issue on their part and since they can’t resolved it then they need to be responsible for writing the account balance off. I will not have my credit affected because they are incompetent of doing their job accurately and if I have to take this to court then I will. I don’t have time to keep chasing the manager down to provide her with the correct information to do her job.

    Business Response

Fraud, a  case of Fraud requires a guilty mind and a willing intentional act to defraud and deceive an  individual. This office is not in the business of fraud.

R** Family & Cosmetic Dentistry submitted a dental claim in "Good Faith" to the patient's insurance carriers.

Unbeknownst to this office at the time of submission, the claim had a clerical (date) error that occurred while keying treatment into the dental office's software.

Once made aware of this error, R** Family & Cosmetic Dentistry immediately corrected the error within the contractually agreed upon time for  "Corrected Action Claims" between this office and both insurance carriers.

To date, Ms. P***- S***** claim has already been resubmitted b*** to her insurance carriers for reprocessing within a Timely Fashion as dictated via our contracts.

All of which, Ms. P*** is aware as per our conversation on June 24, 2024

To date, Ms. S*****- P*** "Patient Portion" as of yet, remains unpaid for Services Rendered by this office- pending the exhaustion of her insurance carriers.

If you have any further questions, please refer to my email.
