    Buyer beware...an absolute ripoff...by a company not accredited by BBB! I gave it one star because 0 stars was not an option!!!A summary of the work performed at ***********, B-101 on June 27, 2024 in NMB. 1. Excessive overcharging. $800.06 for 90 minutes of work. This price includes an hourly charge of $500. $139 for an inexpensive, 2 5/8 bezel, door k*** and deadbolt combination. (Less than $30 at **********) Arrival time 10:00 PM, finished at 11:30 PM. 2. Improper use of the ** Sales and Use tax. The total tax should have been $11.12 or 8% on the excessively overcharged door k*** and dead bolt. ** Sales and Use tax does not allow for sales tax to be charged on labor when shown separately on the invoice. The tax rate for ****************** is 8%, and not the ************ rate of 9%. 3. Negligence. The door k*** was a Schlage commercial door k*** with a standard 5 pin cylinder. The deadbolt was a Schlage residential deadbolt with a standard 5 pin cylinder. The door should have been opened without damaging the locks and door. (Validated by other locksmiths in the area) By using a drill and vise grips, the door was dented and scratched. I had to pull out the dents and prime and paint the damaged area. 4, The installed door k*** and dead bolt were of inexpensive quality. I arrived at the condo a week later and 3 out of 4 latch plate screws were missing and the door k*** was very loose. All of the door k**** in the area have a 3 bezel, while they installed a 2 5/8 bezel. I removed the inexpensive k*** and deadbolt and replaced with better equipment. 5. A reputable locksmith had previously opened the door a few years earlier without drilling out the k*** and deadbolt. 6. Our senior guest was taken advantage of after a long and difficult day. .
