    I rented a condo in ** through ITrip. Being there for 2 hours a ***** was walking on the kitchen wall. The next morning at 8am I went to shower and found another in the tub. We called and left a VM with ITrip and packed our bags. We drove to the ITrip office and in the parking lot while sitting in my car a women spoke to me and apologized and claimed they were Palmetto bugs. I sent an email requesting a refund with no response. I wrote a review and the rebuttal they wrote was a total lie. They claimed I went in the office and threw the keys at them, I never left my car. They said I used frying pans and left them in the kitchen. We used no frying pans and the 2 glasses and bowls we used we put in the dishwasher and started it. The rebuttal also stated I never reached out to them for a refund. I sent them 2 emails and left a VM. Very poor business practice. I took several photos of the condo. It was very dirty with visible roaches. *** worked in restaurants most of my career and know what roaches are and have photos. I spent $800 and was there 12 hrs and slept most of those hours. All I got was a response to my review with lies. No one ever reached out to me from the office, no one returned my VM or either email. Which I have copies of. Beware of ITrip they want your money not your business.

    We are SO sorry that you were disappointed with your accommodations and wish you would have given us a chance, while here, to make it right (this booking took place in 2020). We had NO idea that anything was wrong with your unit until you came in the office the next morning and threw the keys at our office manager (which is what we were told). In each and every check-in packet we list the office number, as well as text number, and state if there are ANY issues with your property - when you arrive or there after - please contact us ASAP so we can make it right. We checked and double checked voicemails and text messages and found nothing from you. When housekeeping arrived the next day, expecting to be horrified (but also stumped b/c they had just cleaned the unit the day before your arrival) they found two dead palmetto bugs, which unfortunately is normal since the unit was just sprayed and it had been raining for a few days. They also stated they found pots/dishes all over the kitchen from where you cooked something the morning you left. We were kinda surprised that in a unit described by you as filthy and made you gag - you'd feel comfortable enough to cook/eat food?!? We did receive a request for a refund on Sunday - via VRBO messenger - which is not checked on weekends. This is why we stress the importance of calling the office with issues so that they can be handled right away. The HOA of this building will not allow rental companies to provide pest control - ALL pest control matters have to go through them and we could have contacted them right away if we had received a call. They had just sprayed the week before, so unless doors/windows were left open there should not have been a problem. We explained that we could not issue a refund but would love to offer you upgraded accommodations, but that offer was refused. You stated you fully understood that we do not give refunds and you'd be taking it up with your credit card company. While we hated you leaving on such a bad note, we also had no other options given the circumstances. We can only make things right if we know they are wrong - and unfortunately here we did NOT know until it was deemed too late (short of offering a refund).

    I called and left them a vm, when they didn't respond I drove there. I never got out of my car. I spoke to the women through my passenger side window. They weren't palmetto bugs, they were roaches. We never cooked and never used any pots. The few glasses we used I put in the dishwasher and started it. This was during Covid and the top of the refrigerator had so much dust I gagged. Terrible that ITrip would lie about what happened. The entire building was dirty not just the condo I rented. It is why I will never use ITrip again. The lady was very nice in the parking lot, she apologized many times. Why the lies about the kitchen and throwing the keys is the office when I never left my car? What ITrip has said happened is completely 100% false
