    I replaced my air conditioner with C & C Myers through Costco. My neighbors had told me that the AC was making very loud noises. The AC was 5 years old with a warranty of parts for 10 years. I contacted C&C Myers to replace the motor. The motor would be covered by the warranty. C & C Myers installed a new motor and billed me for $719.10 after a $103.90 reduction due to my participation in their monthly service plan.

    The installation took approximately 20 minutes. When I asked why $823, they indicated that there was the filing of warranty paperwork, postage, delivery fee and installation. $823 for a 20 minute installation of motor covered under warranty !!!

    I subsequently asked for an itemized breakdown. It was denied.
