      My car was towed to this impound and when I went to get my stuff they told I could not get my stuff out of my car unless I paid the full towing fee or signed my title over. I signed my title over but legally they cannot tell me I'm not allowed to get my personal belongings out of the vehicle. And that is illegal, but I did it because the car wasn't working. After the vehicle is in the possession of the proprietor, owner, or operator of the towing company, storage facility, garage, or repair shop, the owner of the vehicle as demonstrated by providing a certificate of registration has one opportunity to remove from the vehicle any personal property not attached to the vehicle. The proprietor, owner, or operator of the towing company, storage facility, garage, or repair shop must release any personal property that does not belong to the owner of the vehicle to the owner of the personal property.
