Very disappointed. Pullets were in terrible condition. Many missing feathers, bald spots, scabs, under weight, dehydrated and terrified. All of his pullets were kept in cramped cages meant for chicks. They could not fully stand up and could barely move. Theyve never been outside of their cages to roam. One poor girl was lying on her side dying. We were not able to pick out our chickens as they couldnt be seen. Metal cages with small slats/holes for air. He just reached in and grabbed the first one he could. I thought this was a respectable breeder who cared about his chickens, not a producer. I had heard good comments about his previous location in **************, **, but since moving to *****, **, obviously things have gone downhill. No adequate housing for growing chickens. No secured area for them to roam outside. Very sad and inhumane situation to keep chickens. Im only glad we were able to save the 3 we did.
