My husband called Roto Rooter to come out and clear a clog from our Main Drain line. My husband had already pulled the toilet, snaked the drain and was unable to snake the cleanout valve. They came out promptly on February 10th, charged us $400 to clear the clog. My husband agreed to put the cleanout valve and reset the toilet to save money. That evening when he reset the toilet, we realized the drain clog WAS NOT CLEARED. We called them the next morning FIRST THING and this time 2 men came out. We were charged ANOTHER $750 for them to put in another clean out valve 2 feet from the old cleanout which they stated was because they couldn't make the turn to get to the main drain sufficiently! I feel like if a new cleanout was NEEDED, it should have been disclosed at the beginning. WE PAID them the day before $400 to clear the clog! at the very least, the $400 should be refunded since they never cleared the original clog until they installed a new clean out valve! I am very unhappy with their service and believe we were charged over $1100 for a cleanout valve! I am VERY Unsatisfied with this company!

It’s our goal to resolve issues thoroughly and transparently. We understand your frustration with being charged for work that didn’t resolve the original clog, and we regret that the need for the additional clean-out valve wasn’t communicated upfront. Please contact our customer care team at ****************** so we can review the details of your service and work toward a satisfactory resolution. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we hope to regain your trust.

I had Roto Rooter out Feb.9th 2025 to replace a single faucet and a sink drain basket both of which I supplied, the ripoff artist worked 1 1/2 hours to replace both of those items and charged me $630 thats right $630 a normal plumber would charge around $38 to $50 hourly so I complained to the company Roto Rooter the gave me a refund of $152 I am 65 years old or I would have confronted the man but to old to do that anymore, So people do not use Roto Rooter for any plumbing work

We’re very sorry to hear about your experience. Charging fair and transparent rates is important to us, and it sounds like we missed the mark here. While we’re glad a partial refund was provided, it’s clear that you left the situation feeling overcharged and frustrated, which is not the experience we want any of our customers to have. We take your feedback seriously and would like to look into this further to understand what happened and see if there’s anything more we can do to make it right. Please reach out to our customer service team at ****************** — we value your business and appreciate the chance to restore your trust.

Absolute rip off and a fraud. Called on a Sunday evening because of clogged drain line. Whole house was backing up. $700 dollars for guy to tell me we had crappy plumbing and he couldn't fix it that night. Wanted to come back next day to dig main line up. I bought a 1/2 inch power snake next day for $300 and went under the house and cleared the clog myself.

We sincerely apologize for the experience you had. Providing honest, effective service is extremely important to us, and it’s disappointing to hear that we fell short in your case. While after-hours emergency calls carry higher costs, you should have received a thorough and effective solution — not just a diagnosis. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and will use this to make the experience for our customers better in the future.
