  I paid $200 for a Pella service tech to look at my patio door because the locking mechanism wasn't working. I clearly explained the issue when he arrived. After inspecting the door, he said we "might try a new locking mechanism" and promised to get back to me with a quote and schedule a time to install it.Weeks passed with no update, so followed up. He still didn't have the information, but eventually emailed me saying the part alone would cost $861.05 - no including labor. So now I am out $200 for a visit that gave me no solution, and I'm looking at over $1,000 just to get a functioning lock on my patio door.This feels like highway robbery. Pella appears to have no concern for customer service or cost transparency. Extremely disappointed and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

  We moved into a 7 floor condominium that was built in 1964 in Western PA. One of the main upgrades upon PURCHASE of the condo was new windows (3) and a patio door. We spoke with several vendors and decided on Pella. The quote from Pella was for the 3 windows and 1 patio door and was NOT the least expensive, but elected Pella based on 'quality'. The sales person advised that their commercial team was separated by patio door and windows. The patio door would be done first. AFTER the door was installed, the sales person advised they are NOT able to replace with windows unless the ENTIRE building changes. This was a huge sting to us. Had we known, we would NOT have selected Pella. Now we have a patio door and 3 old scrappy windows. We have been baited and switched. they did proposal an internal window to our existing window. Wish that would have been identified when the proposal was made. I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING WITH PELLA

  This company ***** not the lnstallers the salesman and the project managers they sell you the windows and after that theyre is no communication from the salesman to the project manager this is the worst experience i have ever experienced they started this project may 1st and this is October 2nd and they still aint done the salesman promises to much and does not communicate with the installer about what he had planned and the project manager is worthless l would like pella to now about this experience it was the worst experience i have ever seen from suppositelv the best company around but this company makes this pella windows company look like a bunch of chumbs i would never recommend this company to anybody unless they would compensate me for all this distress Ive gone through and aggravasion that im going through

  I would never recommend anyone to this company! Without permission, they tried to take a loan out in our name and ran a hard inquiry report, which went against my credit. We weren't going to pursue with this company and they should have never tried taking a loan out without our consent. The only way we found out...we received a letter letting us know that our loan can't be approved because they don't have a signature. They didn't have a signature, because we didn't give permission for them to do this! We contacted the company and the manager was EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL AND IGNORANT! He tried to make it our fault and didn't take responsibility for anything! If you're smart, you will stay far away from this crooked company!

  Statement above is 100% wrong. We can't run a credit app without the customer info and SS#. I tried to explain this to them but they refused to listen. The appointment was run in April and that is when we would have run a credit app to see if the customer would have been approved . He was not approved for the full amount and he did not want to put money down to move forward, He wants us to do something which we can't, but he doesn't want to hear it. We can't run a credit application with out their information and information that they need to provide.
