In 2017 I needed a new furnace and approached WOC to see what they could offer. After some discussion I decided to purchase their top of the line Thermo Pride furnace and what sold me on the transaction was the added WOC guarantee that it would be serviced by WOC if the furnace should fail and that the integral parts would be warranted for 10 years. At the time of purchase I asked specifically if I needed to be a fuel customer of WOC to receive the guarantee. I was told no, that the guarantee went with the purchase of the furnace. Well the furnace failed to start last Sunday and I was refused service because I am not a fuel customer. The weekend emergency dispatch operator suggested I call during the week when the regular office staff would be working. I called this morning and was told that WOC changed insurance companies between when I purchased the furnace and the current date and this new insurance company refuses to allow WOC to service furnaces to which WOC does not supply the fuel oil. This is not the agreement I entered into with WOC. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone was polite and apologetic and said that he understood why I would be upset but that his hands were tied, unless of course I would choose to now become a fuel customer of WOC. I politely but firmly informed him that I would not give WOC another dime of my money...ever. WOC is not a trustworthy company. They do not keep their agreements. Assuming that everything the company representative said is true it still does not change the previous agreement entered into with me by the company. It would cost far more to obtain a lawyer and pursue a claim than it would be worth and I am well aware that my refusal to do business with WOC will not effect them in any way. But like individuals, how a company keeps to its agreements speaks volumes about them. WOC is not a square dealing company. And I will be informing every person I possibly can that they refused to keep our agreement.

their system is adding a finance charge to bills at 15 days. been receiving both bills in the mail the same day. happened twice, two months in a row for furnace repairs.i called the first time and was told the charge would be removed yet it appeared on the second repair bill with an additional charge. no complaints on the work or service. just the billing.

Hello Mr. B*******, I am writing in response to your concern regarding the finance charges added to your account. Let me explain: Your account is set up with “COD” terms which are non credit approved terms. It was set up this way back in 2014. From what I can tell, there was never a credit check performed using your social security number so you were never properly approved or given Net 30 terms. The most recent invoice prior to 2022 was in 2015. Our system does add the first finance charge to invoices on “COD” accounts within the first 10-15 days and then monthly thereafter. It does look as though one of our customer service reps credited the finance charges for you on 1/27/23. We can certainly pull a soft credit check to get you properly approved for 30 day terms. Call us at ************ if you would like one pulled. Sincerely, Faith Maynard Credit & Collections ************ ext. 214 **********************

WOC delivered propane to my cabin for close to twenty years. In September a delivery was made and the driver accidentally smashed my electric meter. It cost 2000 to repair. WOC denies they did it, but a witness,a neighbor of mine was there all week and no one else was there. All indications point to WOC. Very disappointed in their response. Due to their dishonesty I can no longer recommend their services Bill Allison

We did review the incident and although aren't convinced our driver did the damage we agreed to meet the customer and split the insurance deductible. Customer was happy with the outcome.
