    August 2024: Sent two techs for a one man job at $120 an hour. Techs didnt initially bring any tools into the house to assess the issue (furnace) so I lent my tools. One tech was clearly OJT and the extent of his service was to use his iPhone as a flashlight while the other tech cleaned out the burner. They thought potentially that I needed a new valve which they didnt have in the van, but didnt sound sure about their diagnosis and the furnace was firing when they left so I called and told them to hold off on coming back with the valve.I received a $500+ bill which included the valve and presumably the labor to install the valve. The time indicated on the bill was close to double the amount of time the techs actually spent at the house.Several weeks later the furnace stopped firing again so I contacted again to have the valve installed, assuming I would just pay the initial bill that included the valve install and wed be settled. They hadnt issued a new bill, nor had I paid the initial bill that was in error since I wanted to speak to the owner about the labor cost. Again, two techs came out for a one person job at $120 and hr. A week later I received another bill, this one just for the additional labor, which was already listed on the original bill.Ive talked to the admin assistants several times and explained the issues. Each time Im told the owner will contact me and each time I dont hear back but receive a version of the same bill in the mail a few weeks later. Finally into March 2024 and they want to add a finance charge on top of the bill totaling over $700.Ive used Newells in the past and had a much better experience so Im not sure what is happening at the company but with this experience I could not recommend them to anyone and will not do business with them again.

    Labor overcharge -- for items which are not labor related. Even attempt to collect, potentially, illegal charges. Only one of the four technicians who provided service knew HVAC and Plumbing disciplines at a respectful level. One had no idea of what he was doing and provided faulty workmanship. Written , and documented pre-work contract is not administered, which leads to havoc. As stated, only one technician knew his job, one knew a little about plumbing, but nothing to brag about, and the last two were (OJT) on-the-job-training. The hourly labor rate for non-qualified (OJT) technicians is undeserved. Would NOT recommend this outfit to anyone.
