Horrible business. He is a liar, and the communication is horrendous. He ruined my home, and now have to find someone to fix his mess. Ridiculous.

Worst experience with a contractor ever. I bought my grandfather's house back in January of this year, and decided to go with Matt. It took MONTHS for him to finish the smallest jobs, even when I was told it would only take a week/couple weeks. The communication was absolutely horrendous. I feel as if he stole money from me, and I can no longer get in contact with him because there is always an excuse as to why he can't/won't answer me. Wish I could give no stars.

Absolutely horrible!! They did a terrible job on our deck and wouldn’t respond when asked to come back and fix it. I had to give at least one star but really doesn’t deserve any!

Matt M...... is the worst general contractor I have ever hired. He demolished our deck last October and now almost 8 months has lapsed and the deck is still not completed. He made numerous structural errors in our deck some of which were dangerous like a gap between the house and an installed rail you could put a leg through and which exposed an 8 foot drop to our driveway. He also did not put in any blocking under the end boards of a Trex deck. We found this out when a relative came for dinner who works in contracting and is also a carpenter. He pointed the error out and then on further exploration, we discovered the blocking is very important, especially with compounded decks (like Trex) because the wood is part plastic and it becomes more bendy in warmer weather. He ended up pulling up the entire deck, putting in the blocking and replacing the Trex boards. He had numerous delays with multiple excuses. He would show up for one day every 1-2 weeks. He would come late and leave by 2:30 pm. It became so frustrating I wanted to scream. On April 12th he came over to discuss the problems with the deck. We thought he was coming to actually work, but it was only to talk. I told him he had 2 weeks to finish the work and he agreed to this deadline. It is now 5/20 and numerous excuses later, it still is not done. The deck has passed inspection but still has several things that need to be done in order to finish. Fortunately, the biggest of these errors has been corrected! My son is graduating from HS in a few weeks. We have now severed our relationship with this company and have ordered the supplies on-line to finish the work ourselves. After deducting supplies from the original contract which he did not install, electrical work we decided against because it was overpriced and senseless, the supplies we needed to order and the labor to finish the work, we no longer owe him a penny. Goodbye to bad rubbish.

We hired Matt M****** in September 2022. After 5 months the work is still not complete. He never approached our township to learn of the necessary documentation needed. He stored materials in our garage for two months leaving us without a garage to use. He made a million promises when he would be out and had different excuses and never showed up. Please save yourself stress and find a more reliable source for your project. It is difficult to deal with a contractor who is not trustworthy. We fired him today

We hired Matt M****** at Expanded Living Contracting and had nothing but problems from the beginning. Project was supposed to take 8 days and 4 months later we had to fire him for his incompetency. He would work maybe an hour or two when he did show up or not show up at all or even call to say why. The work he did was very sloppy. Flooded our home because of his shoddy work. Now we have to fix his mistakes on our own and we're out thousands of dollars. Be warned he changes his company name a lot. Learned he's had many lawsuits against him.
