    What a dishonest and disreputable company they are. Don't let the positive ratings on ****** mislead you like they misled **** called at the end of May to get a quote for a move in July. I was given a quote, in writing, that i followed up with the **** several times via email and text. I was assured each time of the dates and amount. On the actual day, the movers were unprofessional. Not wrapping the items carefully. Not wrapping the mattress that I paid extra for. Dropping boxes I marked as fragile. Chipping my marble table top, Cracking my desk while putting it back together. It was a truly nightmare move. When the move was completed, they charged me extra because they stated is was listed as a one day move when I clearly had signed paperwork that it was a two day move. Their customer service person at the office, that I was forced to deal with was ****, **** and unresponsive to all problems he was causing. No manager was there to deal with the *************, several week later, I find they charged my credit card, without notification or my authorization, for more perceived costs. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I am sorry I did not check here before I hired this company. Obviously, this is how they do business. DISHONESTLY!

    I went with Bekins in Pottstown, PA, as they were a middle estimate. They moved me out, kept my things in storage for 6 weeks, and moved me in. The move was within state and less than 100 miles. I urge you to STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Once they had my deposit, that's all they cared about. They sent a bunch of movers that were clearly contracted and several had no moving experience. I did my best to keep an eye on things myself, but it was near impossible to watch them move everything. When items arrive, you MUST be very vigilant about what they are bringing in and the numbers on each item. Do not cross off a number unless you see them carrying it in, and don't let them leave until you have looked at everything. I made a mistake and only went with the 60 cents per pound to reimburse for damaged items, basically due to a misunderstanding with my insurance company, but they will only reimburse you for what is not marked off the check sheet and what you document is damaged BEFORE THEY LEAVE. I was appalled at the damage to my things--solid large wood dresser shredded; Barbie dream house smashed beyond recognition; filing cabinet crushed; plastic bins smashed; boxes ripped open and crushed; along with many, many missing/stolen items--pennyboard; snorkel gear; propane tanks; set of expensive kitchen knives; Dyson vacuum; at least a dozen huge plastic bins with clothes/toys. They also cracked all 3 of my solid wood bed frames putting them together. It was awful and I spent over six months fighting with Bekins to get reimbursed. They WILL NOT speak to you; will respond only through mail--not even email or voicemail. It was the worst experience I ever had, and implore you to stay away from this company. After all was said and done, I received a whopping $374 for this disaster for thousands of dollars in missing and damaged items. Had to file a police report for all the missing items, because at least my insurance company covered those items. DISGRACEFUL, DISHONEST
