I have not found Metro to be helpful in helping in diagnosing whether newly appearing ceiling stains are coming from its drains from the attic installed air handlers, or roof issues.I haven't been impressed with Metro since it changed hands from original owners as they retired, died and sold the business. Perhaps current owners are under pressure to increase revenue to fund financing to purchase the business. Management and customer relationship skills are definitely not up to par with original owners. To be fair to current owners, ability to find and retain a skilled workforce is difficult these days.Perhaps BBB needs to revisit its A+ rating.***

I had a FREE maintenance agreement with them. When I called the technician for a problem with the furnace, he wanted to charge a fee. When I complained, the company wrote to me "we are operating a business and driving to a location for a service call requires gas to get there, vehicle insurance, and someone's labor" I ended up taking them to the Magistrate. The Magistrate ruled in my favor.

I have been dealing with Metro for 30 years now and they have always done a great job. But recently the thermostat said I needed to replace the humidifier pad. I called and they did so, but they were supposed to come upstairs and turn off that notification. They did not. So two weeks later I got the same notification. I called Metro, thinking that maybe the pad wasnt in place correctly. They sent the same person who replaced the pad out to me. As he walked in, he said he had just forgotten to make the change on the thermostat. He asked me to do it and left. And I got a bill for$90. I have been calling Metro for weeks to try to talk to a manager. He refuses to talk to me and does not call me back. This is not the service I am used to. Caveat Emptor.

I DO NOT recommend this company!!! I will not use Metro Heating and Cooling again. Their prices are OUTRAGEOUS! $90 dollar "diagnostic" fee then they charge $200 per hour to replace a $30 dollar part that they marked up to $100 dollars. That's right a 50-minute visit to diagnose and replace a $30 part was almost 4 hundred dollars. I will NEVER use this company again!!!! The diagnosis took 30 minutes, the installation of the part took 15 minutes, and 5 minutes for the cleanup and billing. No receipt of work performed was given. "We can email you a receipt," When I called customer service to inquire about the breakdown of the bill, they said, "it's all lumped together." and would not give a breakdown on parts or labor. I performed an internet search on the part replaced using the identical part number and discovered that it was 30 dollars. (furnace ignitor for a ******* furnace)The **************** person would only state that they charge a flat fee of 200 per hour for labor and that is in ADDITION to their 90-dollar diagnostic. They marked up a 30-dollar part over 2 hundred percent! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
