Im giving a zero star review regarding this property management company. My daughter is currently living in one of their apartment buildings in ************ and its been a less than positive experience for the past six months. The management team are rude and not helpful. The tenant above my daughter Plays, loud, obnoxious music and television, violates the lease agreement by smoking, cigars, and marijuana, and is in a domestic violence relationship with his female partner. The only response that my daughter gets is to call the cops. The cops come out and unfortunately, are unable to do anything. The tenant has now come down and attempted to intimidate or threaten my daughter. Unfortunately, my daughter has to break the lease and pay a financial penalty because the management team is not willing to work with her. However, they would like for her to testify in court on their behalf, utilizing the MP4 recording she has of the horrific domestic violent incidents that are occurring. This is a totally unacceptable and unsafe environment and their management team is not willing to help resolve any of the issues. I do not endorse living in any of their properties.Review fromMa K

The issues with ************************ and similar companies are a microcosm of the much larger failures within the housing industry. While we may feel powerless as individual tenants, organizing with others who are facing the same problems can amplify our voices. Legal action, class action lawsuits, and pressure from the public and regulators can make a real difference in demanding better accountability and standards from these property management companies. This is the true heart of the housing crisis: an industry that has become more focused on profit margins than on providing safe, humane living conditions for all. Our concerns are valid, and the lack of professionalism we've all experienced is unacceptable. These companies can, should, and will be held accountable eventually. In ************, when it's tenant vs. landlord, theres absolutely no help. Its nearly impossible to get an attorney, and if the issue isn't back rent, no one seems to care or want to listen to what's really going on. I feel completely played, wronged, and treated unfairly. I wont rest until I see this company defeated. My rental experience, especially in 2020, has been a nightmare. The lack of qualifications required in this city for someone to be a "CEO" or even a landlord is outrageoustheres no way its based on any real credentials. In other words, a crackhead could be your property manager ******* NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE ANYWHERE IN *****************.Review fromShalonda S

Worst place to live. No professionalism in the office or with maintenance. No punctuality. No one ever knows whats going on or keep proper records in tenants. Maintenance will make you uncomfortable making passes at the female tenants and going to apartments without notice to the tenants. All good deals arent good deals. Office personnel also very argumentative and invasive of privacy within the dwellings of tenants and shares tenant info to people who are not authorized personnel.Review fromJane D

I moved here one year ago and when I say things have become **** poor around here I mean just tht. I went to complain about them excusing their plumbing issue, Knats, tenant having to replace unusual bulbs, batteries to smoke detectors etc I didnt move here to buy the necessities tht they need for Thor property. We experience knats flying around due to plumbing issues. Once we do a work order, nothing happens. They just go online and marks it completed. They can NVR keep one manager the one they have now does nothing but sit on the phone to the point we are unable to even call the office. Just because we live in the ghetto doesnt mean we are trash they send messages but wont respond to us but continue to raise the prices where is the extra money going bc nothing gets done around hereReview fromLaMonica M.

I had my account on autopay and would constantly get notes on my door that I was behind on my rent. When I take the note to the office if I could find them there during office hours they would say it was just a mistake and to not worry about it. The apartment grounds outside were always trashed and they only thing that would happen from it was to threaten their attendants with fines. Living on the bottom floor I would constantly have the trash blow into my walk out area. When moving out I was told I would receive my whole deposit back, but they took out $231 from it before returning it. To make matters worse a few months later I found out they reported a $61 dollar charge to the credit bureaus without notifying me whatsoever that the charge even existed. This hurt my credit score and put my loans I had applied for in jeopardy, not to mention had my work asking about it because of what I do for a living. Getting anything in writing is almost impossible making explaining it to others an extreme pain. When I email them about it they take almost a week to respond and when they do it doesn't even address the issue at hand. This company was a hassle even for an attendant who never asks anything from them and always pays everything on time.Review fromBrianna N

In my experience living at Overbrook Lofts, I had addressed my concerns about the safety of the living through months of consistent rook leakage in my living room and bedroom. I had paid my rent on time and provided time for the issue to be rectified permanently. I had informed Overbrook Lofts management on April 30, 2023, that I had expressed my desire to terminate my lease written in a letter. However, I can't entirely agree with paying an additional two months' rent due to an early termination lease. Why should I continue to suffer? This is a fault of the building. If none of this were happening, I wouldn't mind staying here as my home!
My living needs still need NOT being met here. I also visited an apartment at Tiago Lofts and met a property manager, Felicia, who provided a tour. She had informed us that one of the apartments would have a discount due to the blemishes. However, I do not get offered anything. My daughter and I have been living and breathing through a mold for months. In addition, we were living at risk of our apartment and the building catching fire. The leak is above our heating/ air conditioning units. Last winter, I had feared sleeping with the heat on while it rained because it leaked all over! Also, I had lived through an open ceiling for days, inhaling toxins and not feeling well, and my daughter has a medical condition known as asthma. I could not afford a hotel, and I don’t trust Overbrook management to reimburse me for staying away from my home. The price for the rent increase is not worth the price, which is $100 more. Plus, the guidelines to terminate a lease are not worth the additional month's stay. I am offended that I received a notice via email about my rent not being paid on December 6, 2023. Overbrook Lofts management, the issue was never fixed. November month rent is an escrow account. Please get in touch with me via email for a resolution.Review fromTina L

I lived at the Metro at seventy apartments in St Louis Missouri and it was just a terrible living experience. I was assaulted gave a 30 day notice was told VAWA doesn't work in Missouri. I reached out to the owners about the issue along with the unit I was in was in disarray. The last straw for me was the ceiling leaking and nobody did anything to fix it my time there. I got a Emotional Support Animal which the office staff rejected even after I gave 2 doctors notes one my primary care and another from a licensed ESA therapist. The office staff never let me know what else was needed for my ESA. They changed me outrageous fees for my ESA they also changed me fee for me moving under my Section 8 VAWA. They lied about my Security Deposit Deposit and has made my anxiety levels rise to the max while living there and after moving out. I emailed Odin and got no response to any of my situation but was ignored. They ask in the application if on is disabled they don't ask for proof of my disability but When I gave proof of my doctor's recommendations they turned me away. Reasonable effort or accomodations were not made as to any of my situations. My unit failed section 8 inspection 3 times and the office at Metro at 70 is still charging me fees due to their negligence of the property. The whole complex failed HUD INSPECTIONS as well and little to no work was done when I was there. I deserve my whole Security Deposit and the $275 I paid for Aprils rent but my worker changed my rental portion to $0.00. That leaves me a full refund of $1,115. I shouldn't have been charged for my ESA and my VAWA wasn't a concern of the apartment complex that was between me and my Section 8 worker but I was attacked by the office staff who told me VAWA doesn't work in Missouri and that it's for refugees escaping Domestic Violence. This company is beyond unprofessional they are the worst I've dealt with and I've live in a few different places with poor management.
