      Total dogshit company- what they do is take payment from the patient, then take 8-10 weeks to get it to the doctor, so they can collect interest on the balance during this "processing time." Real kicker is that they don't use checks but rather, prepaid master cards sent to doctors who then need to cash them.

      Instamed med partnered with CIGNA for bill paying. They collect payment for providers if they have a contract with provider or not. If they do great provider gets paid and your bill is cleared. If not they send out a card in the mail for provider to use to pay bill and charge a fee to provider while getting interest on your money. In my case they had the wrong address for the provider and it went void after a couple of month. My money is supposed to be refunded to my account in 5 to ten days or maybe 30 depending on bank policies. The reason they don’t have the right address is because the provider doesn’t want to deal with them. They don’t update with the company because they don’t have an account with them and don’t want one. Instamed doesn’t care because they collect money and collect interest for a few days then send out a cc in the mail, few more days interest, if they have wrong address it goes on until card is voided. All of this time the patient is getting bills for services they thought they had paid. I’m sure their lawyers have wording to make it all legal. I heard a lot of it when I talked to instamed to find out why my bill east paid All very insolent on their part. They can’t help it a provider doesn’t update the account that they don’t have with their company. You will get your money back from them(eventually) I have the money to pay my provider while I wait for them to return my money but many don’t. Medical professionals should not be held hostage by big corporations by legal ease. I can assure you if the money is not in my bank at 30 days I will be back

      The company is horrible and even when they were terminated 3 months ago they continue to commit fraud by automatically withdrawing from my checking account

      This is the absolute worst payment portal. I've added my bank account to pay my bills and it stops working immediately claiming my account number is incorrect (it isn't). They take 3 months to fix and then it breaks again. I have to waste my time with their support and I can't get anyone on the line to tell me the status. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTELY USELESS SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would give -1 starts if possible, It certainly does not deserve 1 star;.

      Took my $345 in February and never paid my bill. Didn’t receive a refund until May and my medical bill was deemed late. They never sent it to my medical office.

      Paid Instamed who then pays my provider for a medical appointment. My provider never received the money and Instamed says too bad contact your provider.

      I used InstaMed to pay my hospital bills as it was featured on my Insurance provider's website. HUGE MISTAKE. One provider group informed me InstaMed payments never work for them and another recently decided to not take InstaMed all together. InstaMed has taken the money from my accounts but has never sent a payment with the 10 days they claim they do. It is more like 30 to 35 days before they send anything. Also, when you call them there is a huge hold time and they are very slow with answering basic questions like "Did my payment go through?". Dealing with them and doing their job for them take a huge effort and the last thing a recovering sick person needs. AND despite your efforts their delays and insufficiency can put you into collections though you did nothing wrong. InstaMed is a nightmare.

      I used Instamed through my insurance company site. I trusted my insurance company which allowed Instamed to access my hospital bill online. So i used instamed to pay the bill and now the hospital keeps sending me bill balance stating that they have no connection with instamed.after the fact instamed with draw the money from my bank account stat! So i contacted instamed and they stated that they hand mail payments through the mail and it takes two weeks for the hospital to receive it! Now make this make sence!! this i could have done myself . Then the young man tells me that i should have read the clause!! I must say i will never trust a 3rd party through any means ever again. I fault the insurance company for providing or using them on their webb site!! from now and on i will only do business with the hospital or clinic directly!!!

      This is a garbage company - as in their service and support is utter garbage. I just spend the last 30 minutes trying to get through their customer service waiting line to be hung up on TWICE. Nobody in their billing department answers the phone either. If you call billing you're sent to voicemail. If you call customer support you're left in a waiting queue for 10 minutes and then the call drops. I don't know how they expect to make any money when I can't log into their payment portal but this 5 minute task to pay a bill has already wasted over 30 minutes of my time with zero progress.

      Scam. I attempted to make two payments via the instamed payment system embedded in my health insurance website. Instamed withdrew the payments from my account and did not send them to the intended service providers. They held the payments and would not respond to phone calls or emails for weeks. I ended up having to make the payments again directly, then start a fraud claim through my bank to get them to respond and refund the payments. Using instamed was a complete waste of time. Avoid at all costs.
