I am a biller for a Nursing Home Ennis Care Center who has a resident with Medicare A and Globe Life Insurance as their secondary. Globe Life uses INSTAMED to pay providers by a virtual card. INSTAMED states they paid our facility by a virtual card. We never received nor or we setup on their website to view payments or access to EOB’s. I tried to setup our facility with online access with no luck as INSTAMED states there is already an administrator setup under our NPI #. This Administrator of that account is no longer with the Company. INSTAMED owes us over $12,000.00. We have been for 8 months with Alex Magers (instamed) to get this resolved. We are getting no where. Globe Life Insurance no longer uses instamed due to them taking their money but not paying the providers. I have asked instamed to pay the facility by check as the virtual cards supposedly expires after 45 days. So why not send us the checks??Instead they keep the money! Our facility Ennis Care Center, along with other facilities are gettting no where with Alex Magers. After reading on BBB site we are not the only Provider having difficulties getting paid.

I am a physician who uses Nextgen for my EMR. Instamed is configured to "work" with Nextgen. It has been nearly two months of me calling Instamed now and, after spending about 20 min each time on the phone, have no resolution. The system does not work well with credit card readers and the support at Instamed is non-existent. You will be put on hold, elevated to a "manager" who will do nothing. Note: you do not speak to a manager you are simply placed on hold even longer. How this company has an "A+" rating is beyond me. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this company or better yet, drive in the completely opposite direction.

I paid the balance I owed in full through Instamed. At my next appointment I am told I am in collections for this exact amount and payment was due today. I asked the lady to check again and on the particular date my payment history on Instamed shows posted and shows "settled". Doctor has no record of my payment. I will NEVER pay bills through here again. Lesson learned. I will be sure to share my experience with everyone. Working in IT for the Banking industry, my voice and opinion is of great significance. I will be heard loud and clear.

I tried to use InstaMed (through the Cigna website) five times for payments to various providers. Two were accepted and credited to my account for the service provided. Two were denied (not accepted) and reversed by Instamed. And one was accepted but never credited to my account (by the medical provider). They essentially stole my money. It was a nice idea to be able to make payment directly from the claim/EOB website but clearly the providers are not on-board with this payment method. Two out of five successes is not acceptable when dealing with payments. I agree with the caution to " NEVER EVER USE THE PORTAL VIA YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY TO PAY PROVIDERS.".

This service is horrible! I thought it would be so nice and easy to pay my medical bills through Cigna site which is linked to InstaMed. This was the beginning of a horrible experience. I paid all of my invoices through InstaMed but was still getting notices from the doctors asking for payment. Then i started getting calls from a Collector. I called insta med several times to get reports on what was and wasn't paid but they would just say they are mailing it. Never got any reports from them. I had to dig deep to find out multiple invoices where not paid and the amounts i paid were applied to other invoices screwing up everything. Stay away from them!!!

I just found out that company pays your claims in a prepaid mastercard. The company will never see your payment. In addition, I had my payment mailed to a mysterious PO Box!!! Why would a hospital accept a pre-paid mastercard. What would a company do with a pre-paid mastercard.

I used Cigna to issue a Payment to Mercy through InstaMed. Mercy contacted me several times that the payment was never received. I verified the address with the Mercy billing rep, and they informed me that the address was incorrect. I notified InstaMed of this information from Mercy, and they informed me that it is up to Mercy to reach out to them to have this address changed, and that I should just pay through Mercy's site. I wish there was a better way to let potential users of this service to stay away. It has turned in to a big hassle, and there is no one interested in taking initiative to make the service better for the customers.

This is a nightmare web site. FIrst of all the companies using it, like Aetna for example give you little or new clue what is happening before just redirecting you to this nighmare. It is not intuative and we had a terrible time figuring out what they want at each step. You can't pay a bill without a payment ID number which we do not have. After reading the other reviews here I am very reluctant to use this but we are forced to use this company by the insurer.

Instamed is the service used by the Urgent Care facility I went to, to collect payment for the visit.. Oct 23 I received an email for payment due for visits in April and May. I paid the bill and 3 weeks later received another email for the same amount I found out last week I was sent to collections for a visit July 22 and was never notified by Instamed or the “collection agency” which is no longer in business. I have always paid my bills on time and this is outrageous to me. After talking with 7 different people at Instamed and the agency they stated they sent me to I paid the balance they said I owed. Today I have received ANOTHER email that I have a final notice for an unpaid balance. I feel someone needs to do some investigating as to overpayment/over charging by Instamed.

Bad Customer Service. My receptionist made a username and login but no longer works for me. Company told me to fill out a form and send a copy of my drivers license to prove who i was. I did that. They still won't help me. They really don't care or help.
