    We booked online and paid for an ocean front king room. When we called before arriving they said we will have to pay an additional $40/day upon arrival for that room. We had already booked or flights. Typical bait/switch.

    The services and connected services are terrible. Seem more like fraud or bait and switch type of company.

    Can you give 0 stars? I booked to Dreams Sands Cancun through AMR in June 2022 for a trip in December 2022. Due to the violence happening at the time we decided in September 2022 that we just weren't comfortable going to Cancun at that time. We had purchased the trip protection so when we called it was a fairly easy process. We received our email the same day detailing the amount of our credit per person. It stated $XXX per person PLUS airline cost. I called today to book at a different resort, expecting to use my credit. We are going on a group trip so we had planned to stay at a Dreams resort for the first couple of days and then meet up and stay where everyone else is staying for the remainder of the trip. We had already booked our airfare and additional hotel stay. They told me I had to book hotel AND airfare through them and that was the only way I could use my credit. Essentially they are screwing us out of our refund. If the email about the credit had stated $XXX per person INCLUDING airfare, then I would have understood their requirement but that is not what was stated!!!! I'm absolutely furious and completely disappointed in their terrible policies.

    We booked at AMR Resort Dream Sands resort Cancun for October of 2022. Someone called us and asked us to switch to NOW Emerald resort Cancun because Dreams was being renovated. They told us if we agreed to switch we would receive a free stay at Dreams Sands once the hotel was completed. This was a flat out lie! We called AMR who transferred us to NOW Emerald who then transferred us to Dreams Sands who did nothing but give us a run around. I have several emails promising us this free stay but we still haven't received vouchers. There was a very long list of guest who were promised the same thing and never received their free stay. AMR is dishonest and so are their hotels. Do not take their word when they make you promises!!!

    AMR collections scammed me dec 5th 2022. I booked and received confirmation to *** **** in Puerto morales ( ****** ****) I paid with credit card possibly over a bogus link. All inclusive plus round trip from airport. No one was there to pick me up. Sandra saw my ******** aski about the driver and then ignored all the other messages. The phone just played music when I called. I called resort to make sure I had a room and I did not.     I was deceived by this company acting like Melia. I wanted to reserve a room at Falcons Melia Punta Cana. They charged my card without permission when they said it was an authorization and are charging me three times what melia would charge for the same room. Do not trust them or do any business with them. Go directly to the company They refuse to answer questions and or cancel this fraud. I am working with the bank to hopefully get my money back. After I contacted several avenues I have started to receive harassing callsntelling me to die on my trip. All of this is very disturbing. Avoid AMR at all costs! Martha B

    I am a travel agent and helped book a trip for a customer using this brand. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. 5 Months later, after the customer returned, they still haven't issued payment. This is the worst brand to use. They don't treat their customers, employees, or sales department with integrity. DO NOT USE THIS BRAND!

    My family and I fell victim of the Unlimited Vacation Club scam while on a visit to Punta Cana RD. These AMR Collection hotels are in alliance with UVC and are the main offer of hotel chains via UVC. AMR and UVC are based out of Mexico and these people arebcommitting fraud against US americans that fall to sign contracts overseas. Stir away from these hotel collection as they are not there to sell you a vacation but to reap you off of long term hard earn money via pushing unnecessary packages. Check the UVC reviews for additional information.

    Customer service is terrible!! I requested a call back multiple times from a manager. Every person I spoke to on the phone was very hard to understand. One person even kept saying "how do I say this in English" I could not believe it. This is unbelievably expensive company, and you would think customer service would be a priority. I booked a trip to Jamaica for my husband and I back in June 2022 and I was told to I would receive a full refund if the trip was cancelled within 6 months the beginning of August, I Cancelled this trip well in advance of 6 months I was told the refund would go back on my credit card it never did now its October 2 months after the money was supposed to be refunded and I was told I received a travel credit not a refund!!!!!! Angry is an understatement because that is not what I was explained. I was also on the phone with customer service (if that is what they call it) for 40 minutes requesting to speak to a manager and still the agent just kept repeating himself never transferring me to a manager and I still did not get a refund. Please let's give our money to a company that has customer service this is not okay.
