    We had a new entrance door placed in our home in early October. The company came and did the job. They damaged our wall while removing the casing/frame. The employee didnt have anything to repair the damage, he wanted to put caulking to repair the damage. If I had let them use caulk to repair the damage I couldnt have painted the area without it looking obvious.After sending photos to the representative, I waited,Today, 11 weeks after the initial communication with the customer service representative ****** I called to schedule the repairs. I told them I have already addressed the issue as I wasnt going to let the damage wait through the holiday season. When I told ****, all he said was Im sorry in a very condensing tone. His level of professionalism and true customer satisfaction was very disappointing. He offered nothing but the condensing tone and appeared to be anxious to get off the phone. I realize he is probably a family member and this is a family business but it was apparent that Best Window and Door doesnt care about their customers or their homes, just looking to close the sale and move on.***************************

    I bought these windows through a contractor 8 years ago have one of the windows that needs a side spring and slide. I have contacted **** numerous times and he told me for them to come out and fix the window it would cost me $75 cause I didnt have them install the windows. He then told me I could fix the window after he sends me the parts after I give him the model number and size of the window this has been going on since the beginning of June 2023 it is now October 2023 called numerous times still no parts and as far as I am concerned **** could care less to handle my problem. I have decided to write this review to let people know this is the kind of service you get with Best and *****

    Hi *****, we are sorry for your experience * the miscommunication. Regarding your service charge, yes, with windows not installed by Best Window & Door personnel, this policy is correct. Depending on the specific product you ordered, most of our warranties range from 20 years to lifetime in most cases. However, the ******************** is only covered if the product was installed by our personnel. Self-installed products or products purchased * installed through a third party contractor are generally subject to a service charge if you would like us to drive to your jobsite * perform the repair with our personnel. The actual part, if covered under warranty, is free of charge if you would like it mailed to you, or you would like to pick it up. Regarding your malfunctioning part, I believe you are describing what is called a "balance" which is basically the spring that provides tension for a double hung window to go up * down. Depending on the specific series of window, the application, * the overall size, many different types of balances are used in our windows. Mark * the service department would require a specific job or batch number located on the window itself in order to determine what kind of balance you require. This number can generally be found on a sticker located either on the upper section of the window frame itself, or on the upper section of the top window sash. Sometimes over the years the numbers on such stickers can fade * become difficult to read. In this instance, we can still assist you if you could possibly provide a picture of the damaged part. In many cases, this is enough to determine the *********** of the balance. Alternatively, the damaged part could be dropped off or mailed to us to determine the type needed for replacement. Again, we are sorry this has not been a more pleasant experience for you, but we will do all we can to assist you if we could gather than information.
