While attending Beaver Bend Par 3, I was unfortunately struck in temple by an errant golf ball. I was helped by the other patrons on the golf course far more than I was by management. As I am bleeding profusely from my head, I am berated by the manager after merely making a suggestion about having signs up that say "golfing comes with certain risks" or anything. I was just attempting to have an open dialogue with him to help ease my discomfort. Instead of trying to comfort an injured patron or at the very least offer his condolences, it became him yelling at me repeatedly asking "what do you want me to do?" He was slurring his words and was clearly inebriated. Several other patrons had notified me that they know him personally and he has alcohol abuse problems. After there was no attempt to help resolve the situation with any sympathy, he then goes on to continue making a scene and belittling all those around him.His residence is attached to the golf course and after he storms inside, his family/coworkers talk with me with real bedside manner. He then comes back out of the house and continues to yell and cause problems. His family is clearly frightened and I can hear him yelling and throwing things around in his house. There are other golf patrons watching all this unfold. Through all of this, I was not mad, I just wanted to have a dialogue with him and talk about what had happened. I had just been hit in the head with a golf ball, I'm bleeding all over the greens and all I wanted was a little sympathy, not a drunken owner yelling at me for getting hit with a golf ball. Beaver Bend is a great local establishment here in ************ but it's clear that the ownership is more concerned with keeping their "buzz" going than caring about their small business. This man kept claiming he has been a manager for 10 years however had zero compassion for his patrons.
