We hosted our children's double party at Where The Wild Things Play and will not be doing so again. We will also be advising our friends in the area not to pay to have a party here for 3 reasons: (1) tardiness, (2) lack of attention to detail, and (3 food waste. (1) We had decorations included in our package, but the party room was not ready by the time the party started. The team was leisurely decorating while out first few guests arrived. There was little sense of urgency to have the place ready to go for our guests. (2) We asked that one of our children have a small table to hold desserts with a specific theme. The party coordinator did not set up this single decorated table for our son until I asked about it. Given that we were charged extra for this service, we would expect that this would have been done without us asking. (3) We accidentally left our food (4 trays of food, 2 of which were barely touched) in the fridge after our party. When we realized this, we emailed the party coordinator to see if they could keep it for us to pick up the next day, but no one responded. When I returned the next day, I was told that hundreds of dollars of food had been thrown away. The owner claimed that their policy was to discard food left over after parties, but there was food in the fridge before our party started and that same food remained there the following day. The question remains why our food was thrown away while other food items remained in the fridge? We have been going to Where The Wild Things Play for 3 years as paying customers and guests to parties. Given our horrible experience hosting our children's party here, we will not be going back to support this business.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us regarding your recent experience hosting a party at Where The Wild Things Play. We genuinely appreciate your honesty, and want to extend our apologies. Our team does its very best to have everything set up before each party, but unfortunately there are times when an earlier party requires unexpected additional cleanup. We are confident in our team and know that they do their best to create a party that meets our guests' expectations. Regarding the food left in the refrigerator, we understand your frustration, but with multiple parties each weekend and only one refrigerator, we simply don't have room to store excess guest food and our policy is to discard any food left behind. We do reserve a small section of our refrigerator for our personal use - ie, classes held in the party room, and for our resident Bearded Dragon as he requires fresh fruits and veggies in his diet. Thank you again for sharing your feedback.
