This plumbing company was called to ***** an issue with no water pumping from my well at my home. It was not called into their service number as an emergency just as standard time. The day after I called 2 plumbers arrived, 2 trucks, 1 older man and 1 younger man. They immediately were hurried and disinterested in being here. They went down to basement in a hurry. They explained they werent sure it was a plumbing issue and needed to check the electric. The older man informed me they were gonna test the wire between the basement and the well. He sent the younger man to test outside while he tested inside. I could tell the younger man was knew and didnt have much experience. Within 5 mins they stated I had a bad wire in underground from my basement to the well pump area. They explained this isnt something they can handle but could quote the work. They immediately left. From start to finish they were there 10 mins. A few days later I received an estimate to replace the wire to the well for $2,656 and a bill for $275 for their 10mins of time. Later that same day that JS Plumbing came for service I called an electrician to get a 2nd opinion, he suggested I call an actual well pump service as they would do the testing and replacement if needed. I called a well service who came the next day. They tested the well wiring, it was fine, they tested the well and determined the well pump was not working. They pulled the pump up and saw several areas on the wiring frayed from use and banging in the well hole. They gave me a quote on the spot to replace the wire down the hole, the pump and add tubing to protect the wire in the future. I went ahead and had them do the work. Once it was all complete the water was once again running. This price was equal to JS Plumbing just digging a hole from the house to the well and replacing a wire that didt need replacing. All because the plumber was unqualified to perform this service.
