  Myself and my husband were patients for about 2 years.About 3 weeks ago, my husband became verbal about being suicidal. All I wanted was for my husband to see *** and get the start of help. He got schedule for a few days later and went to his appointment. I ended up admitting him to the hospital.Fast forward a few days later, I had my appointment. I looked forward to it all week because the stress I was under was unreal. I couldn’t wait to get in there to unleash it all and get help and guidance. What I got was *** half listening, telling me to pray (after numerous times of us telling him we aren’t religious), and HIM FALLING ASLEEP. After speaking with my husband, I found out the Saturday he had his appointment (the day I admitted him) *** also fell asleep on him. Thank goodness my husband didn’t do something drastic after leaving that appointment feeling even more helpless than before. I sent the following message to ***: “ You can charge the $100 to this card. I also wanted to let you know to cancel *****’s appointment for Monday. After my session I felt the need to address this. You noticeably kept falling asleep, I watched it. To then talk to ***** and find out you did the same thing to him on Saturday was extremely upsetting. I think you need to make some adjustments and I don’t want to put my husbands life at stake while you figure it out. I appreciate the help you gave us to begin our mental health journey. We’d appreciate to be left alone to have privacy to continue to heal. We wish you luck in the future. Thank you. ” to which he responded “ Ty u have been struggling w sleep I think we all do. I regret that you make statements about my safety..I don't see you thanking me for calls after hours...texts etc. Your anger you may wa t to address. I wish you both happiness and wellness.” To have your own feelings in such a dark time in your life thrown back into your face, not even an apology for him falling asleep and to be made out as the bad guy is disgusting.

  AVOID *************************** and the Counseling and Empowerment Center HORRIBLE TREATMENT and EXPERIENCE If I could rate the performance of *************************** (owner of Counseling and Empowerment Center of Greater Pittsburgh at ******************************** Pittsburgh, ** *****) with negative numbers, I would certainly do so.My beloved wife sought help from him, and his treatment of her was not only unprofessional, but extremely cruel and insensitive. In her last session (I believe it was her 4th session), he became visibly angry with her, which triggered intense trauma in her. Apparently he became angry because she was not interested in attending one of his meditation classes. He was so angry, he told her not to come back. She told me that in previous sessions, he did most of the talking. Sounds to me as if he sees himself as some sort of guru, perhaps more of an instructor than a counselor.He obviously has major problems which make him unfit to practice as a counselor (in my opinion). Dont waste your money or your time seeking help from him. Protect yourself from the risk that he will inflict irreparable harm on you.
