It's old and rundown, but I attend events there. The last two years in a row, they have pulled a bait and switch. Both times, right at the begnning of the booking window, I have booked a poolside room and that has been confirmed, but both times when I have inquired before check in, my room has been switched, without my knowledge or consent to a room that is not pool front. It's somewhat petty, admittedly, but when I have a confirmed reservation that I've paid a deposit on I should recieve what I contracted for and not something lesser.

AS per the policy of the group credit cards are pre charged prior to check in . Dates are given in advance. If said credit card on file does not go through the room is released and given to next person in line. Mr M******* card was declined on 2nd payment. He did call back and update but room was already released as soon as this happened. He then called and cursed at front desk agents and manager called he continues with her. Group leaders were informed and hotel told to refund and tell him we did not need his business. It was offered to do a full refund even if they had a non refundable deposit. He refused.

The hotel is refusing to refund over $417.00 for room reservation on 7/2/22 for two confirmed rooms but on arrival with 6 people we were told only one room was available. That very night the hotel lost all power and was in total blackout, no lights, no A/C, no emergency lighting. We could not stay with 3 children and totally unsafe conditions. Have spoken with several front desk employees, two that are no longer employed. The hotel has failed to make a full refund and now is trying to claim we were a "no show". How can we settle this matter short of by legal means? Thank you for your assistance.

Have corresponded with Mark (manager no longer there), Melissa (front desk, no longer there), Louise who promised to speak with owner but has not responded, and now Penny who is makes false claims about the actual events. Entire front desk staff has been unprofessional and incompetent. This borders on theft.

This hotel was hell to stay at. I mean that literally. Thermostats were set at 88. No air conditioning anywhere except in your room. We were there for a convention of Mid-West Tool Collectors. June 12th - June 19th, 2022. Our meeting rooms were like ovens, pool area had to be at least 120. We left early, my husband and I became ill from the heat. After getting home, we were sent a notice that several others have become ill as well. I'm expecting to come down with Covid because of the heat in the hotel. This business should be checked into, please. The pictures on the web site for this hotel were beautiful. Such false advertisement. We did enjoy our time in town shopping. The area is beautiful. But that hotel will hurt Gettysburg. This place does not deserve anything but a minus star.
